So quality like siggy and fabio did feck all isit haha! We failed to get a signing last year and went on a real poor run! Routledge is hit and miss, lamah it's mostly miss, Hernandez is a walking injury! Not once did I say get a striker we need a winger. And even the swans admitted on SSN that they where disappointed!
Time will tell oh bitter little swan. Remember that no one was overwhelmed when we signed Siggy but he came good, same with Borini - who knows what Ngog and Emnes will do! They may prove to be ****, but give 'em a chance and get behind them. And who were the disappointed swans on SSN?
I don't see it that way. I look at our squad of players and i say to myself ....What do we need to secure premiership football, which players do we need to replace and i cant see where we should splash out millions if we dont really need too. Its not like previous seasons where we needed a couple of players. I was dead against ince joining as he would cost us a fortune when we already have players in his position. Come the summertime when we could lose a couple of players then because we have not spent much now we will be able to put a few extra million into the pot for players. If we never had a strong squad of players then that would be different and we would have to spend like cardiff, fulham, west ham and Sunderland because those teams are poor. I cant see any player that these clubs have paid out millions for better than anyone we have and it has not cost us very much.....summer time is for recruiting players not now....
If you watched SSN Amy said that Swansea have been disappointed I don't know who but I'm suggesting the people in charge of transfers!!! Ps don't try and belittle me just because I have an opposing view to yourself!!! Who do you think you are!!!!!! I'm entitled to express my frustrations regardless of your insignificant opinions! It's not like I force my opinions on anyone just picking holes in your statement that no good signings come in jan!!! I now don't give a **** what's done is done and now I hope I am wrong and we end up having a great season!!!!
Woooooh! Calm down - not trying to belittle you; it's just a forum so don't be so precious! You have every right to disagree with my 'insignificant opinions' (and you say who do you think I am - take a look in the mirror keyboard warrior!) Unlike you I do give a **** but agree that I hope you are wrong. Now calm down and go to bed. 'Who do you think you are'!!!? Haha, grow up man!
I cant help recalling QPR and their multimillion pound spend and them saying they will climb the table now because they spent all these millions. They never got off the bottom as all these new high earners were there just for the big money and they ended up worse than they were. teams tend to panic buy at this time and i can see the point that some managers make when they say it should be scrapped. Its a unnecessary unsettling time for any team where players don't know if they are going to be replaced or not...
Well I'm very happy with our transfer Window, I've always wanted to have got Emnes on a longer spell than that month we had him a few seasons back, and with all our injured trooping back, it could well turn into a top season for us, and I'm very encouraged to have Emnes coming off the bench instead of Shectner and Alvaro, so let the good times roll, the Jacks are back in business!............
Back in 2010 I would have agreed with you! We bloody hope he is an improvement over ****ter and Alvaro!!! On the plus side tho he's still young and may want to prove himself
What do you know? Emnes was played out of position in midfield of late at Boro, he's also had some health issues he has just about got over, with depression etc, so cut him some slack he a good player, who will be far better than Moore, Schectner, Alvaro, even if it is Huw's signing, clearly we can do with his quality!.............
Dai I have to say mate your posts are a joy to read, I haven't been able to find any fault in your reasoning, fair play your on the money, now that reminds me has swans_and_only had one too many?..................
Well that was emotional ha ha! sorry for my drunken self last night boys!!! Bring on the ammers!!!!!!
Completely follow Dai's logic. However, it strikes me that it is underpinned by a few fundamental assumptions A) the current squad is good enough to stay up B) we remain largely injury free meaning that Emnes and Ngog are at best impact players off the bench - if they make the bench that is C) the teams around us (the other 10 below Southampton) do not improve significantly For me A) on paper we are good enough with an injury free squad - but until we beat Fulham on Tuesday, we had taken just 37 points from last 38 games. (I know the issues!) B) I really hope that our bad run with injuries is behind us and that very soon we will have a full squad available C) Cardiff, Palace, Hull, Fulham, West Ham have all strengthened. Yes I know they needed to and I recognise that their new players may take some time to bed in - but they could hit the ground running and make an impact like Pulis has already made at Palace. On balance, I think we will be alright, but I would have liked to have added players like Holtby and Chadli as a statement of intent - not only do we intend finishing in the Top 10, but we are also going to give it a go in the 2 cup competitions. Anyway, we are where we are so let's get behind the squad and give each and every player our 100% support - and the Manager!
As Taylor been sold lads not in team today any one know any thing hope he as not been sold, We need him
