Emnes and N'gog will do just fine ,no problem with them signing . We have been trying for many years to Sign a Boro player,at least we have acheived that ambition and leadbetter must be extremely happy to have used his "extensive" knowledge of the football world......at Boro
1 goal in 24!!!! N Gog and emnes combined this season 38 apps and 4 goals, these are not midfield players these are strikers, goal scorers who don't score. absolutely shocking I'm fuming!!!
We were told by ML that there would be no big signings and that's what has happened, I was not worried at all as we have a good squad already and its in the summer when its best to go for the big names as the prices are over inflated at this time of the season. If we were desperate then fair enough but we are not. The best thing to come out of this window is Lucas and donnelly being sent out on loan to get first team experience....As long as we get the rest of our injured players fit again then we have no problems..
Dai we're in Europe and still can't get a decent signing. There is no need to buy loan an out of favor player eg aspas, cisse but now it looks like we're better out of both competitions to concentrate on the league which is a shame as we will never get a better chance at a run in Europe!!! Look at all the other clubs west ham, Sunderland, Fulham, Cardiff, palace all done real business!
Yea but it's like turning down a stunning woman for a absolute minger! I hope I'm wrong but it's absolutely shocking!
Yes they have swan and thats because they needed too...we were not that desperate as we had better players coming back from injury and the players we have acquired are mainly insurance players who will only play if we have no choice...
We did not need a player like ince at our club anyway and its a blessing we never pushed for him...If you look around then there are not many clubs who do want him and those who do he is messing them around trying to bleed them of money..
So if we sign a world class striker where does Bony play ? or Michu ? or do we pay a fortune for a world class striker .wide man to sit on the bench ? we must also remember that perhaps its not easy to sign players ona deal if they dont know where the manager will be. They are decent back up players and will do well for us, i hope people give them plenty of support once they pull that shirt on, sure ,we would all like to sign messi but we dont tend to go in for that kind of thing at Swansea
I'm not the type to rest on my laurels! Why get anyone In who doesn't improve your team! Why not try and make a signing that will bring a different style in! Look I've had a drink and just disappointed I hope I'm wrong!
I agree with Dai. No point panicking and splashing the cash. Injured players are coming back, so the signings are just back up players. I'd loved to have brought in some real quality, but by doing that it might have affected our summers spending. Onwards and upwards.
There is always room for improvement! And we should go for the best players that we can go for and really we've done Bolton and Middlesbrough a favour not the other way round. At least it's a 6 month loan. I always will give support but it's just **** IMO I hope you all are right and they prove themselves but their track record doesn't fill me with confidence
For me with Dyer coming back is a bonus as i was not expecting him to play again this season, Its all systems go now to the end of the season and any big signings by other clubs will have to bed them in for a while. we don't really have to do that and even though im not a fan of ML and his football it still should be enough to keep us mid table and away from danger..
That's not the point Dai! I'd rather one quality signing LW would have been my choice. Anyway onwards and upwards bring on the hammers!!!
What have you done with the real Dai? This new Dai speaks absolute sense and my head is nodding along whilst reading every comment he makes! I know a lot of Jacks were hoping for that big 'Hollywood' signing but it was never gonna happen - just not the way we do things - instead we have stayed true to our policy of financial prudence and signed a couple of players as back up and a couple for the future. Emnes and Ngog may be useless, or they may see this as their last chance at Premier league glory, but can they be any worse than Vasquez? If we'd splashed the cash on a multi million pound striker, where would that leave Bony and a returning Michu? We have Routledge, Hernandez, Lamah and the excellent return of Dyer on the wings - did we really want the distraction of the 'Tom (and Paul for that matter) Ince show!!!? Donnelly and Lucas have been released to get some game time with a view to them making their mark with us in the future after they have learnt their trade and paid their dues. Yes, we could have splashed out all of our hard earnt cash on a few overpriced superstars and totally upset the balance of our team; because that is how we have become so successful - through teamwork, with every player being just as important as the next player, and no 'big shot' primadonna's upsetting the applecart with their tantrums and hissy fits when everything isn't going their way. The January transfer window is absolute bollocks and the sooner it is ended the better; desperate teams scrapping for overpriced idiots who will transform their season. Think we did pretty good business - a couple for the future and a couple to step into the first team when fixtures get congested. And, the real clincher, no one leaving!!!!! Quite optimistic me!
