And that is without anyone else leaving?

Who would people like to see brought in. If no one comes in I think we have already given up on staying up !
 
...or conversely, someone is intent on seeing us "go down".
 
Rowlands could be interesting if he stayed fit. The cf is is but again another loan. Let's hope he can impact like trotta
 
reading between the lines does loan signings mean hayes dont trust waddock in buying players or are there some new ones coming in that we will buy
 
Looks like the team have a month to get things right otherwise the loan signings will go back and probably not get replaced leaving us with a formality of playing games with an under strength squad until the end of the season.

Look at me I've been away for the weekend and now I'm as gloomy as you lot!
 
I think the only area of the field I am comfortable with is in goal!!

Our defence is shocking: Foster and Tunnicliffe simply not good enough. Basey solid at times but still had a number of poor games, although I think if we had a couple of other stronger defenders he would be ok. McCoy, raw talent, but not come on yet like I had hoped. Winfield and Johnson, both have some really good games and then some really bad ones but as a partnership I don't think they work. Laing, to hard to tell yet but potentially we may only have him for a month.

Midfield: Bloomfield and Lewis, both try hards but not really good enough for this division. Harper, should be great if fit but again only sure of having him for a month. On the wings, Grant, hit and miss and Ainsworth past it.

Forwards: Beavon, hopefully will stay! Strevens, wasn't a good enough striker for league 2. McClure completely unproven. Whichelow, young striker, who knows could be a Trotta but who knows.

In conclusion: we need a RB, CB (possibly x 2), CM (possibly x 2), Wingers (possibly x 2), Striker.

Not much to ask for!!
 
I hadnt quite realised how threadbare our squad was getting, especially when you consider the 3 loanees are only on month loans. Its almost getting to the stage where you think sod it, just play the likes of Stewart, Kewley-Graham, Scowen and McClure, it least you might think the youngsters would give there all and the shear lack of quality the team has shown I struggle to believe that they would be any worse!!
 
i have been saying that for ages ,at least the youngsters would be proud to wear the shirt unlike most of the first team,blood the youngsters and prepare for next season i say ,because we dont have enough quality to stay up with what we have got unless gw pulls out a couple of gems late on
 
So basically, we just need a new team. How about just getting 16 players in on loan from the Championship and Premier?

Maybe we could make some money to cheer us up. I did advise taking the odds against for relegation a while back. That is looking very good value as they are now 9/4 on. Maybe we could bet on the number of goals we might concede between now and the end of the season. I'm sure Saturday wasn't the last time we let in 5 this season.
 
2 new signings coming in (both perminanat and free)- one to be confirmed in the next couple of mins according to wwfcofficial on twitter.

I was just thinking back to my younger days when we were in the Isthmian league. Most, if not all, the players were local (Bodger Horseman, Paul Bates etc) and their heart was in it, playing for their town. Nowadays, it's a job earning a good screw, however you play. It ain't the same.
