Sunderland's long forgotten midfielder Cabral has left the Stadium of Light by mutual consent, the club confirmed on Monday evening.
Few Black Cats fans may even remember who the Cape Verde international is, after being signed on a free transfer from Basel in the summer of 2013 by Paolo Di Canio.
The 26-year-old managed just one appearance the Premier League, starting the opening game of the 2013/14 season. However, he failed to play another game and spent the second half of the campaign on loan at Genoa.
In other departures, 21-year-old defender Scott Harrison has made a permanent switch to League Two Hartlepool United, while 20-year-old Greek winger Charis Mavrias has joined Panathinaikos on loan.
There has been even less in the way of incoming players for Gus Poyet's team on transfer deadline day. Early rumours regarding Stoke's utility man Geoff Cameron and young Arsenal forward Chuba Akpom both offered promise but failed to yield anything concrete.

Brown Ideye is set to move to Qatari side Al-Gharafa, though that deal is not yet complete. The Baggies are set to take a £6m loss on the player Alan Irvine spent £10m on despite never having seen him play. Oops.
