We are short of one defender, we bid for Richards then aparently give up on the idea strange, what happened with the 60 targets surely one was a possibility ? , still time maybe.

Still believing in what you read in the press?

Out of the players brought in, Kharzi and Kone, will be first team players. N'Doye and Kirchoff for the bench, Harper will be a substitute if Mannone or Pickford get an injury.

On a separate note, what a team Stoke are putting together!

I understand what your saying Bri but every signing has a lot of ifs and buts connected to them, Everton fans are wetting themselves cause their club who traditionally don't spend a lot of money have paid 13 million for a bloke I've never heard of (admittedly I don't follow,European players closely). What IF he breaks his leg in his first game, it's that word IF again, and no I'm not wishing him any Ill will.

I did say take the signings out of the equation

tbh never thought id be jealous of stoke like

We used to laugh at Stoke taking all our rejects like Whitehead & Jones.

Funny how times change.

Well after all the crazy time I think Sam has took a risk and rolled the limited dice he had to play with. I hope we have enough to stay up its going to be close.....well I hope it's close and doesn't turn into an Aston Villa!!! On a plus note a lot of dead wood has been cleared.

I'm not convinced Kone will even be a regular first teamer. He's come from a poor league where he didn't particularly stand out - Lorient have the joint 3rd worst defensive record in the league. Know nowt about him but the reviews I've heard don't sound promising... I'll be suprised if he dislodges the O'Shea / Kaboul partnership when fully fit.

Think the squad looks threadbare. Survive and I assume our wage bill will leave a lot of room to manoeuvre which it hasn't for a long time.

Not convinced we will stay up though.
