We don't need a striker, we have enough bloody forwards, we do need a full back but it looks like that is not going to happen.

Let's try and hijack the Rhodes to borough deal. He's only half an hour away and I would say worth a gamble. If it all goes to pot and we go down he will score a hat full in the championship so it's win win for me.

Not gonna happen apparently, according the Sky journo at the SoL.

Unless Sam's doing stuff on the quiet. Which I doubt!

I think we're done this window, except for maybe seeing Gomez out as the last deal this window.

An attacking player then. A couple of injuries, AJ's trial absence and potential sentence, signings fail to adapt and are as **** as Ola then we're suddenly relying on Ola to stay up <laugh>

But isn't this the same for,all clubs whoever they sign, whether for peanuts or mega bucks, there is no guarantee they will be a success, we just have to hope the five lads Sam has brought in are a big step up from the six he's got out the door. Time will tell but unfortunately for us our next few games on paper are all difficult, but how many times is it said that football matches are not played on paper, let's,hope Sam knows what he is,doing and I for one am right behind him come what may.

lets just say the signings bed in then. Injuries will happen, nature of the beast and AJ surely won't be available while his trial is on. Still would have liked an extra body in there if there's space in the wage budget. RB is a worry. Hope there's a surprise to come.

I understand what your saying Bri but every signing has a lot of ifs and buts connected to them, Everton fans are wetting themselves cause their club who traditionally don't spend a lot of money have paid 13 million for a bloke I've never heard of (admittedly I don't follow,European players closely). What IF he breaks his leg in his first game, it's that word IF again, and no I'm not wishing him any Ill will.

The Sky media circus seems to be a damp squib on this deadline tonight - no tasty last minute deals seem to be in the pipeline and Jim White and his co panellist seem rather subdued ... maybe Redknapp's the missing element? <doh>

N'Zogbia... only 3 years late :emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm

At least Seaham Hall will have their room back that he's been using for the past 3 years...

Villa local press saying Villa want rid, and he's playing in their U21's. Good replacement for AJ, just in case....?

Given our position in the league and what is at stake with regards to the new tv deal i'm surprised we haven't done a little bit more tbh. If Gomez follows Fletcher out the door thats a canny chunk of wages freed up.
Just heard off a mate that N Zogbia might be signing?

The last-minute transfer of this window is not quite a mouth-watering one: the rarely-spotted Charles N’Zogbia is in Sunderland to finalise a move from Aston Villa.

The difference now maybe, is our winger could be having an enforced break care of our majesty... <whistle>

We are short of one defender, we bid for Richards then aparently give up on the idea strange, what happened with the 60 targets surely one was a possibility ? , still time maybe.
