I've just heard that on SSN, £24m in one payment.
Not many clubs will pay up front that sort of wedge.
They would be crazy not to accept that as he only has 18 months left on his contract.
Accepting it quickly would give them time to get a replacement who wants to be at the club to - assuming the chairman wants to spend the money!
They will more than likely move for Jordan Rhodes if the bid is accepted I would say.
I think it would make sense all round. We know ourselves how much harm it can do having someone in the dressing room who doesn't want to be there.

Fat Mike really is ****ting his pants in fear of relegation this time isnt he.

He did the same 3 years ago in January but not to level of this spending. Basically bringing the summer recruitment forward 6 months.
The rumours just keep getting better.

He might well be, but this time we can't blame him for the situation we are in. Yes, part of our current predicament is down to years of under investing, but since his interview he has done what we always wanted him to do. He is investing in the club and keeping his promises. I suspect that whether we are relegated or not, he will be taking a close look at why that investment has not seen us higher up the table. We were in the top 5 clubs in Europe for spending in the summer, and (I think) we are the top spenders of any club in the world in this window. His job is to provide the cash. It's the 'football' board's job to spend it.
and (C) the French lads like gouffran, riviere, are reportedly being shipped out along with thauvin and cabella to be replaced by a "british core"
