Hardly surprising, why on earth would you want to play for/live in Wigan?

OMG, is this further evidence of southern ignorance? You might play for Wigan, but Premier Laegue players get paid enough that they don't live in Coronation Street houses. Leafy East Cheshire is where they live along side Wayne Rooney and the green welly brigade. Players turning down Wigan (if they are) are more likely not fancying only half a season in the Prem.
