I thought the Morgan deal was 800k rising to 1m on appearances?

Yeah around the 1M mark

If Sven was here the media would of added a couple of extra quid on top of that

Neville has said we spent nothing like the kind of figures that the media just made up and that, in my opinion, had a lot to do with Sven.

Yeah i know it was purely down the media inflating the prices. Beckford was 4M in the media and but only around the 2M mark. Mills was 5.5M in the media but really around the 4M mark.

Sky Sports understands Doncaster striker Billy Sharp is undergoing a medical at Southampton ahead of a possible move to St Mary's.

Sharp has been tipped to leave Doncaster this month with the South Yorkshire outfit resigned to losing the player.

Sharp rejected the opportunity to join fellow Championship club Leicester earlier this month after a bid from the Foxes activated a release clause in his contract.

A number of clubs have been linked with the 25-year-old, but it appears Southampton are in pole position to land the former Sheffield United man.

Southampton have held a long-term interest in Sharp and tried to sign the forward last summer only for the move to fall through.

Saints boss Nigel Adkins has been searching for striking reinforcements all month and he will be hoping to tie up a deal for Sharp before Tuesday's transfer deadline.

We have agreed a fee for Ben Marshall

Sky Sports understands Leicester have agreed a fee with Stoke for highly-rated winger Ben Marshall.

Leicester boss Nigel Pearson has made a new wide-man one of his top targets during this month's transfer window and he is hoping to land Marshall.

Marshall is currently back at Stoke after a successful spell on loan at Sheffield Wednesday during the first half of the season.

Wednesday were keen to make the move permanent, while a number of other League One and Championship clubs expressed an interest in his services

Marshall is out of contract at the end of the season and Stoke have decided to cash-in on him after failing to agree a new deal with the skilful attacker

Stoke have now granted Marshall permission to hold talks about a possible move to the King Power Stadium and Pearson will be hoping to tie up a deal for the in-demand winger before Tuesday's deadline.

Leicester City defender Sean St Ledger admits he thought he was on his way to Ipswich Town earlier in the transfer window, but is now aiming to keep his place in the Foxes side to boost his prospects of featuring for the Republic of Ireland at Euro 2012.
So he will be off if hes dropped to the bench again.

Craig Shakespeare on Wes Morgan "he's 1 of numerous deals we're hoping to do before transfer deadline, you never can be sure til it happens"

I think we'll have a quiet day tomorrow (after signing Marshall and Morgan today) but tomorrow evening (late ish) I think we'll panic buy, such is the way of Leicester City.

Its not really Nigel's style

We're about 30 hours away from deadline and without a winger which was the primary target for this window.

We're going to have to panic buy because Marshall on his own isn't enough IMO.
