    So, league standings:
    - Sunderland 16th
    - us 17th
    - Hull 18th

2 games left for us to clinch survival. First against a London club and the final game against a team in claret and blue to decide our fate. Many pundits assuming we'll just sneak it and Hull will go down.

Oh, by the way, that ^^^ was all in May 2009.

Have we left it too late again?

Well, we're effectively one and a half points ahead of Hull. A win somewhere would be good with two games to go.

Looked different today. Signs of life. People fighting. Janmaat to come back, Cisse as well, should have at least 3 points in us which will be enough. Christ knows fat Mike and that fcking slimeball Charnley don't deserve it, but the fans do.

    I see two omens:

    1) Two years ago we stayed up by beating an already-relegated QPR side away from home in the penultimate game

    2) Six years ago we were relegated playing a team in claret and blue while Hull's last game was against Man Utd at home

Let's hope the first one repeats itself.

Prefer to look at the most recent one, personally. If memory serves me right with 2 games to go in 2013 Sunderland were playing Southampton and weren't safe from relegation. Seems a bit familiar with us playing an already relegated QPR.

Maybe this is deja vu (only this time with a happier ending for us). I seem to remember in 2008/09 we were in and around the bottom 6 for most of the season. Hull benefited from a great first half of the season, but then fell like a stone after christmas and stayed up due to the fact that there was 3 worse teams than them. Six years on we find ourselves in the same situation again, only this time with the roles being reversed. We have fallen like a stone after a pretty solid first half of the season and Hull are the one's who have been around the bottom 6 for most of the season. So maybe this particular tale will have a happier ending for us, and we will stay up at their expense like they did at ours in 08/09. Just a thought..

    BUMP!

By the way, it would Kevin Nolan's 100th goal if he were to score on Sunday.

    It's all shaping up nicely.

    The stars are aligning.

The fat lady is warming up her voice.

Even ugly fat Sam appears to have something resembling a smile.
