So another **** start to a season for a lesta fan. Thats 4/6 points dropped already, remember how that bad stint early last season cost us the play off?
Lucky for us the spine of our team can compete, which is the key phrase in the league and with a great striker we will finish in the top 6.

Btw, chris weale is a joke. All he had to do was cover the angle but as per usual he felt the urge to whore himself as if he were superman. ****

I don't understand what you mean by ' whore himself as if he were superman' but 10/10 for creativity!

Weale was poor and didn't look confident. He is a reasonable Championship keeper but his confidence is shot and I don't think we can risk him as number 2.

As for de ja vu, we are getting steadily better and looked untroubled by Forest today until the ref intervened. Last season the players were in revolt, they were all unfit and we were getting worse.

So just teething troubles.

Speaking of De ja vu - anyone read the match preview in the Merc this week? They talked about past meetings - in particular the one in the 02/03 season where we were 2-0 up at half time, conceded a penalty which they scored 15 minutes from time, then conceded the equaliser in the 5th minute of stoppage time.

Never getting a mercury again.

The ball was going to kasper either way, bad decision especially considering the amount of handballs that other teams do against us week in week out

Second forest goal was a product of weasels positioning, wtf was he doing AWAY from forest players? That was a pub cross which in stoppage time youd expect to flippin divert.

Oh well, 1 game result doesnt make a season and if we had quality in strike you never know.

Danns was awesome no?

At least Claridge said we were hard done by and the bad decisions changed the game. Though he did fail to point out that Kasper chucked it to the halfway line.

Danns was quality today, the first game where I've seen him do what he's supposed to do - run at defenders and dribble. Might have coincided with the fact he was played in position!

Weale and the ref definitely both to blame. Anywhere else on the pitch and that 2nd goal would have been a free kick.

Just seen that penalty, WHAT THE FLYING **** WAS THAT ABOUT!!! I don't think weale was much at fault for the 2nd goal though

I don't know why people are defending Weale, he totally misjudged the flight of the ball. If he couldn't reach it, he should have stayed on his line. It was the only thing he needed to do in the match.

His performances last season were littered with mistakes - in fact, back in April, I thought the first purchase Sven needed to make was a goalkeeper which, thankful, he did.

Weale is not even good enough for number 2.
