I didn't say de Gea wouldn't make it to world class, just not best in the world. Firstly, ask Atletico Madrid fans who they think is better and they'll say Courtois. He's already probably the best keeper in Spain, there's just no doubt that he's going to be world class. The number of mistakes he's made this season can be counted on one hand. Also, I don't see him suffering as much as de Gea did at the start, as he has much more of a physical presence as he's 3 inches taller. If you watch either of them it's pretty clear to see why their so highly rated by so many.

Really? You think he is better than Barca and Reals number ones, thats a pretty big statement!

Definitely better than Valdes, who I don't really rate to be honest. Casillas is obviously incredible but this season hasn't been his best, probably not all his fault.

6'6 rather than 6'3. He really is more imposing and makes the goal look tiny.

Be fair if Courtois is better than De Gea, then surely Chelsea wouldn't have him on loan. Cech is ok, but he really is nothing special these days, I certainly wouldn't swap De Gea for Cech

  10. Cech's not been the same since injuring his head but he is still a quality keeper (even though Ryan Babel beat him from forty yards <whistle>)

I totally agree. De Gea is the future but Cech is still quality

  12. I said before, during and after he joined you guys that De Gea is a quality keeper, he is a just a bit lightweight for the Premier League IMO

When he first came he definitely was but he has bulked up a lot since then and can handle the physicality of it now. Not seen a lot of the other young keepers though so don't know how good prospects they are.
