    I like hodgson, he'll do well for palace. Nothing amazing but should finish mid table.

    But also, as a football manager it's very hard to not be considered a failure. Take a small club into the PL and if they're bottom at Christmas they probably get sacked.

    Palace played well at Burnley with 70% possession, but can't put the ball in the onion bag...Why that geezer tried to pass it back to the goalkeeper when he was in Burnley's half is a candidate for 'what happened next' .
