I personally think he is immense at the back, and was happy that we were able to keep him after last season, but I hope you are right.

I agree with Baldee here. I also think if a league 2 side did come calling, he wouldnt be interested as he will be hoping to play league 2 next season with us and he has a good chance of doing it. If we fail to go up, I can see him being the 1st player out the door though in the summer.

Agreed. Don't get me wrong bs3gas I think he's been excellent this season and can clearly play at a higher level than the Conference, but I think he'll stay as he'll want to get us back in the league and I don't think a League 1 club will come in for him.

I hope you are both right because i believe he is the main reason our defence is so good.

i think parkes has learnt a lot from trotman and mcchrystal and yates too. i think the captaincy last season was too much for him and came too soon. think it effected his game. he will make a great captain though in years to come.

i also think the keepers - mildenhall and puddy has been excellent behind the defence, commanding the area and constantly talking to the back 4. they are trusted by the defence which makes it easier and less pressure for the defence.

i think parkes made the right decision to stay with us. he may have lost his way if he moved to another club. relegation would hurt him as he is a player who plays good or bad pending on his confidence. staying put to right the wrong that he, along with the whole squad of last season, made has given him the courage that will make him a much better player. he is proving this already this season.
