Very interesting. Sky was the place that had it all. Premier leauge, EFL, Spanish leauge..Then bought the rights off free to air champions league, WWE, Cricket, Boxing. They've had it all for too long. No matter what people think, WWE was a big pull for Sky and made them money.

BT now have WWE and Champions Leauge.

If sky loose the football, the bottom will fall out. Their biggest pulls will be Golf, F1 and possibly the darts

Lose (sorry to be a dick...pet hate that spelling mistake). Yeah, Sky have nothing. F1 is dull , with Red Bull winning easily, not worth tuning in. That was literally all they had left going for them. But so much splintering. I like boxing but a subscription for the odd fight on Dazn which they may charge extra as PPV once it comes around seems too much. Similar with BT. Can't blame people seeking out illegal streams in the circumstances,

To watch all of the Premier League, the Championship and either Spanish or Scottish football you'd now needed the following subscriptions:

Sky Sports
BT Sport
Amazon Prime
Viaplay (formerly Premier Sports)
DAZN

That would cost you upwards of £1500 a year.

This is the issue I have always had with the insistence that the rights to various sports are shared around.
When Sky had all the football, all the cricket and all the boxing it meant 1 subscription. Now football and cricket are shared around with BT and Amazon and you need 3 subscriptions, whilst the original sky one keeps going up each year

I have alternative sources of streaming the footy, and am on a decent deal with Virgin that includes sky sports and Bt, but will have no qualms dropping to the basic package when my deal ends.

I'm on the verge of cancelling all of SKY. Been with them since 2005.

Similar to myself. It's gone now, not missed at all. Their football coverage has fell off a cliff. All replays during games, missing half of the action, obsession with " name" teams and free air time for garrulous and self regarding " experts".

You could argue the TV licence fee (i know) is needed for FA Cup games on the BBC. All adds up mate.
