On days like this you just have to hate the world and wait until the next match....I remember that awful feeling when we were 3 nil up v 10 man city and still managed to lose... on the up side at least you made our loss to leeds seem respectable!

There was more sense in my take on it. Losing to a ****e League 1 side & conceding 3 goals in the process, is hardly ideal preparation for a League game that could define your season.
To be fair as previously mentioned you got beat as you started week the same as us against Leeds In the cup no big deal really I thought Brendan would have started a bit stronger than that away from home I think you'd have been ok at home. Confidence maybe a little dented but you'll clean up ok lol
Why would confidence be dented? We played a side who seemed to want it more than us. They defended and attacked well. We played poorly. Confidence is dented when you play well and lose not when you play rubbish and lose.
There's a difference between an individuals confidence and team confidence. Ask Torres. The team that played today won't be the team that plays Arsenal and as Bluff said earlier, a loss puts fire in your belly for a win next time. btw what has happened to Jelavic?
