It's probably also an attempt to get his value back up, Croydon.
If Redknapp goes in the summer, then he might be given another chance to fight for his place in our squad, depending upon who takes over.
We seem to have a lot of problems in that position that need to be addressed in the next window.
 
I wish Dawson well - no-one likes to see any player sustain serious injury and he seems to have suffered a fair bit recently.
I met him at Cheltenham (races) last year and had a chat with him, top bloke, down to earth and friendly, no arrogance you get with so many players these days, just a decent lad.
A loss for England as well...

Vertonghen in, Caulker promoted, with Bassong and Nelsen (possibly Gallas as well) making way.
