Different class of player to anything we have in the full back positions. Showed his class when covering for Maicon and Chivu. Mourinho rated him really highly, as did Lippi. That'll do for me. I've seen a fair bit of him and he'd walk straight into our team without question. Whether they'll ease him in anyway to give him a chance to adapt I'm not sure, but I prefer the approach Liverpool took with Enrique (easier when already playing over here). If you have a class act, put him in. I'm waiting for full confirmation as I can't believe we are about to sign this lad. Primarily a right back is the only concern I have although he is comfortable both sides. I would prefer if we were still signing a left footed left back too but I'll take this. Just get the striker now. We seem to have a good relationship with Inter, have they not got anyone they want to loan out! Kerlon getting a game yet?
 
Speculation: Skysports.com understands Blackpool's bid to sign Newcastle United striker Nile Ranger could be back on. The two clubs had previously agreed a fee, only for Ranger to reject the move. However, due to his lack of opportunities at Newcastle, the 20-year-old is now reconsidering the chance to join Blackpool.
