To Be fair the fact carver intends to play dummet ahead of him will have encouraged him to leave

To me the Santon loan/exit makes little difference to our playing squad. **He's been out with injury the whole season** and some knees are never the same after a bad injury.

Did he show his class at crosses at Leicester? I can't remember.
But he had some stinkers last season.

I doubt he'll be missed, with the season over anyhow.

Ok say janmaat gets injured in training this week and haidara gets another injury? Our defence has been terrible all season as it is?? He's an Italian international for god sake. Dummet is ****e won't ever amount to anything in my opinion and as for haidara if you think he's a better left back I'm wasting my breath on you.

I didnt see this one coming. And I do not see the logic behind it. Having said that Inter Milan need players now, Santon was a Milan player and they know his skills and weaknesses so from their perspective a loan with a view to buying is good news for them.

For us it is one less player, saved wages and less cover. With no signings coming in.

People on the outside looking in do not understand that we all now know what to expect from our regime and every time it happens (a player sale, dodgy decision, something to save MA money/make money) reduces our faith even more. When will enough be enough.

BUT: it cannot happen forever. Players getting sold without replacements will eventually mean we wont have any good enough players to keep us up. So he (MA) either has to buy more players or sell the club.

Not a surprise though, he is likely on big wages and we would probably get a loan fee aswell.

Davide Santon turned down Inter Milan, however newcastle supposidely forced the deal by telling him he wouldnt play again. So he had no choice but to leave, according to Santon's Geordie partner.

One cap for Italy since 2011 - if you think that makes him a great left back I'm wasting my breath on you ;)

Look mate he's better than Paul dummet and haidara simple as that. One clean sheet away at hull and you think our defence is good enough. Sorry but its not even good enough on the pitch let alone in strength and depth. I'm right I'm afraid if santons good enough for inter he's too good for the tossers at our club. I'll remind you when we get two injuries in defence about this. Jesus your making me wonder if you have any vegetables in your diet.
Dummet is a joke haidara is okay we needed both its like educating pork. The people in charge are one thing but the football fan intelligencia really never cease to amaze me.

    Another one she put out:

We really are an embarrassment of a club at times. Davide deserved better, and we should have given him a chance this season, especially given how dodgy Dummett and Haidara have looked at left-back. I wish him all the best at Inter.

It's the manner in which we get rid of players that gets me. We beat a poor team and think it gives us an excuse to get rid of another high earner.

We have to consider that suspensions are also possible, and only Janmaat is seeming bulletproof. Football's fickle like that, though - the window will shut and within hours Haidara will pick up an injury, you just know it will happen. I appreciate none of us work in football, nor at NUFC, so are we missing something here? Are they so stupid as to say "right, Santon's really a 3rd left back, we don't need him, Dummett needs to be first choice....even though he's probably our 2nd best centre back."?

You have to imagine this is either part of the reason Pardew decided he'd had enough, or part of the problem with the coaching staff (i.e. they rate Haidara far higher than the rest of the planet). Got to be the first point, hasn't it - one player per position, then youngsters. Pathetic.

I bet we won't sign a new left-back in the summer, even though it's a position in obvious need of filling with someone capable. Santon wasn't perfect not being a left-footer but I certainly preferred him to Dummett and Haidara.

I hate January, I hate hope, I hate anticipating that one day Mike might just change his attitude, I hate our feable management why does no one say anything? Carver, Carr? I hate that we are just an instrument to make Mike Ashley money, I hate not competing, I hate half of our players especially williamson and anita, I hate transfer deadline day

We are a bigoted, rancid pig of a club. I mean, we won Saturday, but it's the same venue we won 4-1 at last year which was one spark in an otherwise enormous cess-pit of a half season. This year they're even worse than they were last year, and still managed to miss a couple of sitters. Fine lines win games.

I mean, we all know what it is. That result more or less kept us up. There are at least five clubs worse than us, no matter what we do or don't do. Now it's about waiting til 21st August, or whenever next season kicks off. I understand what Carver's saying, he will want to win game, most of the players are professional enough to put in performances and want to win games, but the board/owner couldn't give a sh!t.
