Sorry brb I also posted the link in another thread today so I do apologise if I've stolen your thunder <laugh> . But in all seriousness I think in the last few games we've showed that we could do with the experience of David Wright to sit in front of the defence. The fact that Jack Payne is starting to be phased out think makes the issue of trying to bring him back even more important, but like I said in another thread to be able to have a player to sit in front of the defence and cut out the passes is really important for our team. I very much hope we can re-sign him asap
 
The Gills PegLeg - no probs mate, I prefer other members to do the threads anyway, normally the trouble is I don't want to just leave updates sitting there and would prefer to get them on the site as soon as possible. Especially as David Wright is quite an important one at the moment for us.

I really am hoping to see something happen before the weekend, I feel slightly nervous going into the Accrington game on the back of Tuesday. Also coming up is probably going to be our most difficult period for the next 6 weeks.
 
I really think we may get Wright with Payne going out on loan by 5pm today would be good because if Payne goes we need a replacement.

Herein lies my prediction.
 
Bamford played for Notts Forest before Chelsea and left for 1.5 million, I have just checked and also see he made his debut in a reserve game against us with them winning 5-4 against us him getting 2 goals, he is only 19 and is quite tall at 6 ft 1 so I would have him, just only would like to know does he possess pace.
 
Looks a done deal, subject to paperwork, we will hear later but on Twitter BBC Radio Kent report that it is nearly a done deal and also I read elsewhere that Hoskins is possible.
 
Good news, just like a striker now by 5pm, Bamford or Hoskins would be nice but Hoskins would be better as he is the sort of player that I believe could do well and then we would sign him where as Bamford is coming here for experience.
 
I was just about to break the story but looks like im 20 minutes too late <laugh> . However this is absolutely great news, with some difficult games coming up in the next few weeks such as Rotherham and Fleetwood he could be crucial for us to be able to cement the team at top spot. Hopefully the defence will start to concede less goals again now the wise head of Wright is back.
 
Yeah we need to go back to focusing on defence then score a few goals and we will be fine and that goal different will start to grow again.
 
I'd say the fact we have no official news on the O/S yet regards david wright, means we just might have another deal or two in the pipeline before 5pm ???

top business though getting wright back in to the club...a big plus ! <ok>
 
I want some more news, this is getting late, they are surely after someone else otherwise they would have announced Wright on the website, and that is bad news about Lee Hughes as Port Vale are nothing without Pope but now they have an extra striker so it is important we get another striker who can bang in the goals for us because us with 1 main striker is better than them with 2 as our team all works towards the goals.
 
I see somewhere that Gus Poyet says that Will Hoskins is not available, that is a shame but then again hopefully we have someone else in mind.
