Yeah that's another key point - he would fit our style better than any other EPL team and wouldn't take long to settle into our team imo. He'd be the perfect signing!
If there are issues between Villa and Messi then I would expect that's where Pep has to earn his corn and resolve differences, and if he can't do that at least get them working together for the team. I can't stand some of my team at work but it doesn't stop me being civilised, polite and working with them....
David Villa is in my opinion the best striker in the world, why would they wanna get rid of him? sounds highly unlikley. Still would be awesome. -----------------Sczezney--------------------- Sagna----Mertesacker---Vermaelen---Santos ------------Song-------Wilshere-------------- -------------------Ramsey-------------------- Walcott------------DVilla-----------VanPersie
If Liverpool could afford some kind of deal for him then i don't see why we wouldn't be able to come up with something. And the idea of the article was that if Liverpool go in for him we should match the offer. I know it's likely he would need mega wages and a large transfer fee but outside of Real/Barca/City/Chelsea he would have to take a pay cut of some sort i'm sure. I'd love to see both RVP and Villa in the team together. But looking at it from your point of view if RVP left and we replaced him with Villa then atleast the club would have spent the money to get a proper replacement!
I think the podolski rumour looks alot more likely. He's just the kind of player Wenger would get the best out of.
He's also getting on a bit... not sure Wenger would fork out >£25 mil on a 30 yr old, no matter how good.
