But the point is he's dropped down to play for a much bigger club, yet when people leave us everyone bangs on about how they've made a bad decision because we're the biggest club they'll ever play for, well I'd say that's the same for most of these players dropping from the SPL to play for Rangers, so what's the difference?

    How so?
Players are leaving Leeds to play in a better standard - rightly so if they are in their prime.
Templeton is leaving an SPL team to play for a team 4 divisions below - complete reverse of what you are saying <doh>

    Oh dear...

Try reading this slowly (I am typing it slowly also, hoping that it will be easier for you to read that way too).

The point is that Leeds fans have written thst Leeds player should forego playing at a higher level to become legends and stay with Leeds at a lower level. However, when Templeton drops down to play for the club he has supported with hopes of becoming a legend with them and playing in the SPL they are critical.

So yes, it is opposite but the sentiment is the same - stay at a lower level with the "big club" or drop to a lower level to join a "big club."

Is that more clear for you now? <doh><doh>

It gives him a great chance to be a Rangers legend, i understand his decision.

No - Not even going to bother arguing your pathetic attempt at justifying this move - it is wrong on every level imaginable! Hope Rangers stay down and he regrets this decision for the rest of his career.

Its ok if you can't, no worries.

I did not say I agree with his move, my point was to challenge those who criticized it AND was also critical of those who left Leeds to go to clubs in higher divisions.

Not sure what this has to do with a Millwoe fan but probably another slow day on your board?

Don't see where he's justifying it, but I'm in complete agreement with what he's saying. Many criticize people who move from Leeds to a PL club, yet also criticize people who go to Rangers for doing exactly the opposite thing.
