he has played in the prem when Mark Schwarzer was out injured and I'm pretty sure he played well in the few games he played! But there are better keepers out there I'd like to see us make a move on Ben Foster or Rob Green I don't know whether we'd get them, but maybe they want to be in the prem again!

yeah, i know he's played in the prem, that's what i said. foster or green ain't gonna take a big pay cut to come here, what boy loach we was linked with, that's the sort of keeper we'll have or a loan, it def. won't be an established prem keeper.

fulham will loan but not sell so i dont think we should bother, we need a first team committed goalkeeper who is on a 3 year contract that has premiership quality about him, £2-3 million is reasonable for a very important position in the team....

Yes because loaning a keeper worked out so badly for Birmingham in 09/10 and for Wigan in 10/11. Definately a bad idea Dai.

The price quoted is reasonable but Fulham wont want to let him go for that. If he is the best keeper interested then we should snap him up on loan and spend the £2-3m elsewhere.

I don't know, I'd prefer to buy a keeper outright. Loaning isn't a bad option.... but it should be a last resort surely? I can't see a 3million bid forcing Fulhams hand, it would take 5 million or so I'd imagine, but I could well be wrong.

Prefer to buy one yes but we should be aiming for the best player regardless of buy or loan.

i said as a LAST resort, in reality we need our own goalkeeper and we should look elsewhere for one, im sure there is one out there somewhere..

Fulham fan in peace. Stockdale is highly thought of by all the Fulham fans on here. The general feeling is that if we had to let one of our keepers go, we'd rather lose Schwarzer (who is also universally rated by us). For what it's worth, I agree with the posters above who say Fulham would be more likely to loan than to sell, and I'm hoping that we do neither. Stockdale has got a great future, and I hope it's with us.

Good luck for next season though. I have fond memories of a cracking match at the Cottage back when both of our clubs were in the old 3rd (nee 4th) division in the mid-90s, back when Molby was your manager. We were wobbling on our promotion run and you were steadily closing the gap on us. We won and that was the night I finally felt confident that we weren't going to blow promotion. Happy days.

Are we looking at Lee Camp, too lads??................................

Lets make a 3,000,000 bid on him & make him want to come the rest of the way Hacker !! . We want him , he wants us . Big shoes to fill . Stockdale could be a huge investment , never mind a last line of defense this season !!

Fulham don't want to sell and will only loan him to a Championship club so apparently we're in the driving seat. Also backed up by a Sunday Times journalist who broke that we had signed Michael Brown a couple of days ago <ok>.

They'd happily loan him to a Premier League team I reckon, unless then genuinely believe we could finish above then (very unlikely)
