Not ignoring it, but it hasn't improved the number of goals we've scored. Either our attackers are terrible shooters or we are shooting from to far out. Rather than waiting until we are in a better position to shoot. Arsenal have had less shots than us but they play a more attacking style. But it's more to do with them trying to walk the ball in the net all the time. So I think the number of shots doesn't prove a side is playing more attacking than another side.
You're now starting to sway the argument to the middle. Your suggestion was that we are playing negative football which is a stupid point to make if you have been watching any of the games. Yes, we have conversion problem that needs to be dealt with. But I believe we will start to see that improve. We were about +2 in goal difference two months ago. It is now +12. Which means we are moving in the right direction. Now stop being negative and get behind the team!
Which is what we tried (and failed) to do under LVG last season. Make your mind up - either we are being too negative and not attacking or we are attacking too much and should be more conservative. It's like talking to a Gooner fan at the moment...
@King Shergar keep posting mate, you make me sound positively optomistic Any of you tossers call me Victor Meldrew again I'm unleashing King Shergar on your ass! I would just like to add I pretty much distance myself from everything he's said
I don't need to add anything in response do I? it seems you are in a minority of one. And like treble has said you positively make him the most optimistic fan on the planet. And that takes some doing. Honestly mate you must be some impossible to please dude
I think our 2-0 win over West Ham is being put into perspective this evening. An absolute joke that we only got 2 goals against this lot with 10 men for most of the game
Yeh we probably should've. Ok...but how does that prove we're **** under Mourhino or worse than under LVG or Moyes?
What I have said is that we aren't any better, despite Mourinho having improved LVGs squad spending fortunes in the transfer market. I think we'd be in a much better position now had we kept LVG. Mourinho worries to much about the opposition which is ok when your up against one of the big guns. But you don't park the bus up against a poor side who have 10 men. Lets not forget Arsenal scored 5 past them at the Olympic stadium only a few weeks ago too. West Ham are a poor team when they have 11, nevermind when they have 10. The guys a boring negative coach, and I hope we don't have to put up with him for to long.
You're using one result (which we won btw) to make a broad sweeping statement. A more balanced opinion is this.... We are defnitely playing better football than we ever did under Moyes or LVG. We are also improving under Jose as the season goes on. We are becoming very good at winning the ball back and moving it forward quickly. HOWEVER, we lack creativity in the final third - that imo is because we expect the final ball to just randomly fall to one of our players rather than trying to create clear cut chances by either pulling open a defence or having runners who get behind the defence. I also feel that if Ibrah isn't scoring goals, he's doing little else (often misplacing passes in an effort to make it look effortless or to make it a work of art - Ibrah doesn't do simple ), BUT once we get that final passage of play right (and I believe that is coming despite my frustrations in the meantime) then we will become real force to be reckoned.
City won five nil last night yet we only won four nil today, further proof that we're making no progress under Mourinho and we'd be better off under van Gaal.
King, how can you say that you are sitting in 6th place and that is not good enough? Judge the success rate of the season by where you finish, doesn't matter where you are in January. If you were 10 points behind the top 4, and were struggling for form, maybe I could understand, but as someone already pointed out, only 5 points separate 2nd-6th. One round of results could go your way and you could end up as high as 3rd, I think.....from one weekend. You are very much still in the top 4 chase, and hitting form at a good time, maybe even outsiders for the title, though I doubt it at this point, not just because you trail by 10 points, but more because of all the teams you'd have to overhaul in between. United may well finish 2nd or 3rd this season. And this whole "chavbus" **** is a myth. We never played like that under Mourinho.....see Chelsea's CL semi vs Barcelona and CL final against Bayern (under RDM) for Chavbus (TM) performances. (Though we won the CL, so I dont give a **** )
My god that place does my nut in. I dont know why either camp bothers. Neither of you are going to change the others mind. And I cannot stand Pete, makes my skin crawl, and KKKustard is such a thick ****. At least Dull can form a sentence, until he gets caught out and he goes all non Sequitur.
Sunderland manager David Moyes "didn't think we had a squad that would be capable" of staying in the Premier League saying he believed the Black Cats "were going to be short right from the start" as the relegated side lose 2-0 to Arsenal at the Emirates. I really blame Sir Alex for our current predicament. That grave mistake of taking a fkin loser like Moyes to United continues to hunt us till today. He brought the loser mentality along with him. Such a terrible judgement call.
