He's not remotely flash, he just does his job well.

He's never had a run of games since the injury, as Catts red card count has been lower ;)

Sounds like we have our Ashbee player back, sounds a great signing.
Possibly play him alongside Evans instead of Koren if we are up against a very decent midfield and need to win/keep the ball.

    Sounds a handy larker.

If successful, I'm sure Bruce will be asking MON in the proper loan window if we can extend towards the end of the season.

Against Cardiff I would play two holding midfielder's in Meyler and Evans and drop either Quinn or Koren (i believe Quinn has a slight knock?)

Good comments by MONSmush, an excellent example of supporters supporting! Having seen Meyler many times, I can only agree. This guy is a fantastic signing for the Championship, a real play breaker, strong tackler and very vocal in organisation. Only bad luck has prevented his progress. Brady and Meyler are excellent recruits (both will extend to the season's end) and the fine thing about recruiting Meyler is that he did not see us as a good move during the summer; whereas now he has seen our start and the type of football we play, he can see a really good role for himself in a promotion winning team - the next best thing to regular PL football. Just that striker to compensate for injuries . . . Just an after-thought, but don't be too surprised to see him score at this level.

    I wouldn't drop Quinn unless he's lost a limb.

Even then, I'd play him if it wasn't a lower limb.

Good signing this, we've had a bit bad luck with our defenders coming off at the end with the slightest of knocks.

Competition for places is always a good thing.

Although, it would be hard to drop anyone in the midfield/ upfront at the moment.

So drop a defender? If Meyler is as good as he's supposed to be he could partner Koren in a central two even with Koren in his free role. 2 wingers, 2 strikers, Koren just behind, and Meyler sat in front of the defence.

Personally I'd go Quinn and Meyler, with Koren in front in our current 532, it'd end up being more of a 523 with Koren, Aluko and Simpson interchanging though.

I'd go 4-2-3-1 against Cardiff, harsh to drop anyone but may as well use meyler.

    Amos
    Elmo Chezzy Faye Rosebud
    Meyler Evans
    Aluko Koren Quinn
    Simpson

Think that's about the best we can do with what we've got, it's the only way I can see us being solid but still with goal threat and scoring potential. Maybe drop Quinn for Brady to give us that pace and directness on the break.

FFS Meyler has been brought in, eventually, as Brucey realised straight away we aint good enough in the CM. Meyler is here cos Brucey dont rate Oli, Mckenna, Evans as good enough to get us promotion.

Stop coming up with formations its 3-5-2 and Meyler will be playing with Koren and Quinn.

Well, if he drops Evan to start Meyler (which I am certain he will not do) he will have undermined the whole philosophy he has put in place in the squad since arriving.

That being said, if both Elmo and Rosie are out injured, I can envisage a situation where he asks Evans to move back to RB and slides Meyler into the middle of the park.

exactly my thoughts. If elmo and rosey are out then Evans and Brady could be very good cover, still have pace and strength in tackle, only delivery Will be effected.
