Yes weighty a game or two but what if you get a few long term injuries (please let tabb get one) then what? Oh and for every Drogba there are thousands that dont make it, are we lucky enough to get a Drogba, lol, no way!!
Hoppers I'm just frustrated that we haven't kicked on from last season! Surely you can't be happy with what's been done during the Summer?
Warky, for me the summers transactions were a disgrace at best and i blame both ME and MM for this! I just hope Bish is given a decent run in the team, the only bright light imo!!
Problem us Warky MM is getting the short end from ME after those two ****ers Keane and Jewell skunked away, you really can't blame ME for taking a more cautious approach, as I have said on another thread there us a school of thought that we are going to try to cash in once the FFP sanctions kick in over the beginning of next year.!
The trouble is Hoppers do we have a strong enough squad to stay in this division? I really have my doubts! Take the GK position for example!
We will be ok Warky, another season of mid table obscurity then kick on next term, once half the clubs are faced with financial penalties!
Goalposts are being moved once again!! We were supposed to kick on this year, thats what everyone said last year, funny how you all change your tune to make yourselves right!! Its getting ****ing boring, what next year, oh we will get things settled this year and kick on next! Zzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!
Spanish, That is not what I said, that is what I have heard, I don't think its right, I don't very much like it, and I certainly don't say it just to make myself look correct, that is just the way it is being played out by ME.
I still think we can make the play offs a couple of bad results won't make me change my mind it's a long season and there will be ups and downs.
tbh, It could have been a lot worse of a window, we could have lost Berra & Didsy, at least now we can suppliment them with quality players from the premier league, so the heart of the squad hasn't been ripped out, we can still add what we need, so no need to panic.
I agree with you Guru, this was in my opinion the least worse scenario.Hopefully McGoldrick's head hasn't been turned and he can concentrate on getting the goals to cement our mid table place again this season.
Just had a quick count up and we have a first team squad of 21 players not the reported 16. 21 players is enough IMO although one or two loans that can improve the starting eleven would be fine by me and if we do sign Collison and Ambrose we will then start looking a bit over crowded.
Looking back at prev threads, nearly evwrybody predicted and expected a top 10 or play off spot, except myself and stretchy, the negative duo!! So surely if we are outside the top ten, questions have to be asked!! Other managers have had to work on a shoestring budget and done well, so why cant MM? I seem to remember the budgies got promoted with signings from the lower divs!!
The problem with our squad(and has been for as long as I can remember) is quality not quantity....too many meh players (Tabb,Skuse,Anderson ,Sammon,Hunt,Nouble(thank F he's out of our hair until at least next year!)etc etc) who really aren't ever going to be good enough to get us out of this Division.
I dont know whether this is true as it is in the EADT but Evans was holding out for £11 Million for Dids! No wonder Leicester told him to get stuffed!
Surely he is not valued by ME tho? Surely MM would say ' dont accept less than......' Not sure but i would imagine the manager puts the value on the players head!! I would have taken 6 million personally!!
