He's spot on about Phillip Beard. He will be highlighted as a clown on the footballing side of the Chief Executive job before too long. The man doesn't have a clue about footballers and the art of wrapping up transfer deals quickly and efficiently.
This is absolutely amazing....we fans are a complete shower at the moment David puts up a tweet...we all (mis)interpret it the way we want to (mis)interpret and then we have a fight about it. Let it go only 5 days before the start of the season...at least we will have something concrete to complain about. See Remy will be going out on loan to N'Castle or Spurs....I expect we will get him back if he goes into jail ( a sort of sale and return)
Monday morning, quite sure thing will have moved on in a positive way by the end of the week and the sky will not have fallen. As Tone tweeted, some more out, some in. The negativity here is demoralising.
Correct Roller. I was only ever protecting his footballing ability and in life would always protect anyone who ever fell foul of the mob ... We as fans did not support Bosingwa from the off. I watched him on his first game against Walsall and he looked very good and on that night I hoped he would be an asset for us. Both parties, us and him didn't see eye to eye ... I believe he wasn't given a full chance and was always going to be a player we would vent against. He, IMO remains a very good footballer
It all depends on how you want to read it. "Today is going to be a nice, sunny day." 1. Great - lets have some friends round and have a barbecue. or 2. FFS sake, that means tomorrow's going to be sh!t. or 3. Bet the forcast is wrong and it rains. or 4. Who told you that? What do they know.
I think he meant the fans aren't happy unless they are picking someone or have someone to blame. For me, I think AJ and BZ can do a decent job in the championship, given half a chance (obviously that depends on fitness) but will anyone give them half a chance, I imagine not. As I've said before there seem to be too many people wanting us to do badly rather than wanting us to do well, I affectionately call them The "I told you so" s
I'm with Mac, Roller and you Dave. Bosingwa is a very good player, one of our best last season. We as fans need a scapegoat, and he was the chosen one as soon as he arrived. Seems he got so much abuse from his own fans he found it easier to just ignore us. Can't really blame him for that to be honest. Where's he gone anyway?
I had high hopes for him because he was decent at Chelsea. But there's no disguising he was woeful last season
For me, the difference is that BZ was playing with an injury in the second half of last season, and for that reason, he starts with a clean sheet this season. Bosinwga would never start with a clean sheet in my book.
Hes going to be playing with exactly the same injury for the whole of this season instead of having an op. Think about how bad he is now, imagine him after 3 months of 2 games a week, its not going to be pretty.
My understanding last season was that he would be out for several months after the hip operation, Flyer. Are you saying he hasn't had it in the pre-season? If not, why the fffff... not
The choice was to carry on playing or have the op and miss the season. He never had the op. We would clearly be better off without he will hamstring us for the whole season because everyone knows he cannot play, well except the manager.
Hmm, you may be right if his form is no better than the end of last season and Harry's still making medical excuses for him. Seems odd that he didn't have the op as predicted, even if he was out until October.
