I watch Rugby League also, the authorities the RFL and the refereees are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING towards football.

FIFA,UEFA and the FA are an absolute f**kin embaressment towards football.EVERY decision they EVER make it totally and utterly f**ked up,there has gotta be some big brown envelopes changing hands.

Biggest game in the world BY A MILE and the officials are dodgier than a Bobby Charlton haircut!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Going by this latest outrage, English football could well be more corrupt than Italian football.

I suspect the credit ratings of Coward Webb and Mark Falsey have just reached geostationary orbit.

    Including yours, of course.:)

Anyone who's bothered to read anything I've written in the past will know I'm not big on conspiracy theories, but surely everyone can see that there's a conflict of interests here?
Even if Gill was scrupulously fair over anything involving his club there will always be suspicions over it. A situation like this is just begging for controversy and simply shouldn't happen.

I'd be more interested in the opinions of fans from other clubs tbh, rather than read the same old predictable defensive reaction from Utd.

Well the refs are pulling out all the stops preventing them losing games now, never mind the odd favour. Chelsea took 2 pens. Us took a red card and a peno and still they need to place Gill.

As I said quite a few times before this was announced, United will try prepare the playing field, new rules to follow regarding finances that will hinder city significantly, Script Read

Right, before the outrage bandwagon gets fully underway, how about a slightly different perspective?

Now that he has been promoted to VC, he is now in a much higher profile position and therefore needs to be seen as being fair and impartial. Yeah, OK, he is in a greater position of influence but he will probably be under greater scrutiny and therefore less able to do as he wanted.

I may well be wrong, but only time will tell.

when will LFC fans ever learn.............

ALL BLOODY FA OFFICALS ARE CORRUPT.

    the job advert reads:

wear a blazier? think like a dinosaur?, partical to a bribe? if so the FA might just be the job for you.

LFC fans are just jealous that we don't have a blazier wearing, public school fop in the fa taking bribes to look after himself.... Purslow should really get on with it shouldn't he?

I'm sure that's the argument that the German establishment used when appointing Hitler as Chancellor.

No, it's because he is the chairman of vice, the vices being bribery and corruption.

The thing that gets me, is the complete refusal of many people to even consider it as a possibility. I mean, we are talking about a sport worth god knows how many hundreds of millions, yet some people assume everything must be above board otherwise somebody would know. I assume that was the same attitude as Italian fans a couple of years ago.

Perhaps it has happened before, but we're discussing the present- not the past. The fact that it may have happened before doesn't mean it was right then, or is right now.
It just shouldn't happen. To hold one post, he should have to resign from the other.
How can he be expected to make impartial judgements over something he has a vested interest in?
If you could just switch off your automatic defence mechanism for a moment and see it objectively you would realise that such a conflict of interest makes it difficult for him to be seen to act with impartiality.

    A petition? Better than repetition.
