Thing is this is not a conspiracy, this has relevance in the real world, there are people on the run over exposing this, not nuts, a former MI5 employee stumbled onto this ring some years ago, she is now in Brazil on the run and a British judge says she cannot access her own money to defend herself in court against fabricated charges. There have been inquiries and like the Hillsborough one, we know for a fact that we will never get those at the top who were really responsible, ie Thatcher, she will never be exposed for her part, and she's dead already. Has anyone stopped and thought abusing children was socially acceptable many decades ago? Parents used to violently beat their childreb for tge most insignificant thing. The who attitude was one of complete domination over children. Be it through violence, sexual abuse, mental abuse or whatever. Thats how it was. No matter where you look the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's were *****phile and child abuse heaven. Rockers, teachers, coppers, doctors, actors, singers... Everyone. The failing isnt the bbc, government, nhs, schools but society. Society allowed it to happen, even encouraged it.

Whether or not "Society allowed it to happen" or not it was illegal then as it is now and those involved no matter how old they are should be prosecuted and those that shamelessly helped the guilty evade arrest to further their careers should also be prosecuted. Its ok to say it was accepted, it was society etc etc but many of those that were abused have had to go through life with the stigma of what happened in their childhood. Hanging is to good for the pervs, they should be put on a wing of a prison were proper justice will be meted out to the ****s, let them face fear and pain before their one way trip to hades.

Just clearing up incase any special folk thought this was a conspiracy. It wasnt. It is simplt a product of society at that time. People were encouraged to abuse their children. The **** so they expect to happen? Personal i suspect if you were able to see the past of moat people who were 20-80 between those times, a massive percentage abused others. End of day a review/inquiry has been announced. If the laws of that time were broken and there is adequate evidence to prosecute individuals or govt bodies then so be it....quite rightly. If not then not much can be done other than change the public view of this or that individual. UIR, you are partially right in that the laws and penalties for this type of offence were different (laws still existed though) to what we have now which obviously reflects a change of our societies view on how we treat children as well how our society views the openness or lack of it of our institutions. We can all sit now and find it outrageous but in reality all we can do is pressure our current representatives and institutions into being open or have laws in place that penalise those who are not.
