He did. Would you like to see it? It's right at the start of the vid. I avoided it because of that but it's there on youtube

He thought WOW-ie too at first. On learning it was a Scottish name and that they pronounce it Woe-ie he was never quite sure how to pronounce his own name. True fact that. He didn't know himself. <laugh>

I have lost so many close friends and family to cancer.. Probably one of the reasons why I'm so against the belief of an all loving God..

And they both reside in the human soul, it what makes us what we are and how we change so much. Mixed with hormones of both male and female you can see a bit of where we are now imo..

Anyway back to David Bowie, 3 videos, the first was when I saw him in 1972 at like 15 years old, the second the brilliant Live Aid in 85 and the last time I saw him on the Reality Tour.. Enjoy all, the man was everything music and entertainment should be..

Thanks for the last 45 years, Hot tramp.......I love you so..

The only thing missing from the later videos was the great Mick Ronson, a legend guitarist and very underrated but very much a part of this brilliant musician's rise..

First and only time I saw Bowie was in 1970 at the Locarno, he was third or fourth on stage with his new band The Hype it was pre Ziggy Stardust but his act was a forrunner, with him wearing a very unusual costume that included wings, another interesting aside was that Tony Visconti was on base guitar with Mick Ronson on lead.

Big fan of Bowie. As per usual the early years were the best for me: Ziggy, Diamond Dogs and Hunky Dory. But some good later stuff, inc some right wacky tunes. Not bad for a lad from Beckenham. RIP, dude.

We listened to his greatest hits last night and i once again confirmed that i was not a fan of his early stuff. Although i did wonder if bands like the libertines and the artic monkeys were influenced by him.

Also the amount of filma he was in is quite staggering.

Surely his last album is now gonna knock Adele of the charts top spot.
