Anyone know when his contract runs out? surely the biggest waste of money by spurs, the sooner he is off the books the better.

Not sure why but I always thought that if a loan player got a long term injury they basically went back to their parent club for both wages and recovery. I know this has happened in the past with our youngsters - maybe it's just for shorter loans.

If I was hiring help from another company and said help was unable to do their job, I'd send them on their way and stop paying.

"hired help" might be a term that doesn't fit Bentley very well, but hey ho.

I read somewhere it was 50/50 re his wages, but West Ham had a break clause in Jan - where presumably they'll terminate the loan.

Shame Agent Bentley couldn't do a number on them (007 perhaps ;) like Agent Keane did last season <ok>

It's close as to who was our biggest waste of money ever, Rebrov or Bentley, but perhaps no coincidence both ended up at the Boo-leyn <laugh>

I have a nasty feeling he joined on a 5 year contract, that would keep him contracted to us until end of 2012/13 season :(

Well at least that's better, in some ways, than it running only til end of this season. We may still get £5m-odd for him next summer rather than paying his wages while he's crocked then him going on a free in the summer.

    OK - maybe not £5m...

Thanks for bodging the resale value, West Ham...

Unfortunately, HBIC, the Resale value would have been a lot higher if we'd done the sensible thing and outed him a year or two ago. Who's going to want him now? Looks like only the Spammers.

QPR seem to like picking up rejects from other London clubs...
