    Enlighten us?
They do have some good headlines. "Lions Slayed by Donkey" was excellent, when Millwall fans were giving Tony Adams the hee-haw, and he scored the winner against them. I only ever see the headlines, can't remember the last time I saw the inside of the Sun.

There was an unfortunate story a few weeks ago where an elephant threw something from its enclosure which hit a girl and she sadly passed away. The daily mail took it one step further and the headline read "girl MURDERRD by elephant".

Not sure - but I highly doubt it was pre meditated by the elephant.

It was at the time Labour's Nick Brown was Farming Minister. In the same week as the foot and mouth outbreak, Mr Brown had been outed by a rent boy.

The Sun had a picture of Mr Brown in his wellies visiting a stricken farm.

    Front page headline:

    **** In Boots

Their most famous headline was "THE TRUTH", after Hillsborough, which headlined a pack of lies. Kelvin McKenzie's defense was to blame the police for lying to them. Surely a basic rule of journalism is to check your sources?

Standards have dropped in that sense. News wires are as much a "reliable source" as a reporter needs to run a story. I was urged to put up a story of Figo going to Qatar, which had quotes etc. As you probably know, no such move transpired and it was forgotten.

Proof reading on news sites get worse and worse too, as they fall over themselves to publish the story first, in turn getting more hits from Google, which makes them more desirable for advertising. All about that coin.

A classic from Brian Cole at half time last night - he read out last Saturday's winning Jackpot numbers again by mistake <laugh>

The old girl who thought she'd won it again must have had a heart attack.
