I have to say, 6 signings - replacements or no - is good work. In relative terms, it's stellar. I think the Geordie public like that sense of excitement - we love to get behind a player and often do so to a fault (<cough><cough> BEN ARFA <cough>).
So we lost Debuchy, got Janmaat. Lost Cabaye, got De Jong. Lost Shola (hooray), got Riviere. "Lost" Gosling, got Colback. Couldn't find Jonas, so got Cabella.
So a few things - first, we got to replace Remy/Ba/Carroll. Whoever the fck gets you at least a dozen goals has to turn up. I think we all feel that we'll get that player. I think we all have a funny feeling it's going to blow our minds (Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang). Then the only issue I'll have remaining is the CB situation. If MYM stays, is it for a good reason? One would hope so. But I just wish we'd make this like fcking Christmas and get Stefan De Vrij. The guy couldn't tick more boxes.
But what I am loving is the fact that ever club seems intent on making Deadline Day a farce. EVERYONE is tying up big deals early, even in WC year. Fck you, Jim White.
