Can't be bothered reading back but did anyone point out to Sisu that Exxon admitted they knew about climate change in 1981 but spent tens of millions covering it up?

Nowadays they conspiracy nuts do it for them for free.

I already stated quite clearly in this thread that the myth the oil companies are battling against man made climate change is in fact a myth. Have you a source for that Exxon stuff? #source
Man made climate change a new market for these companies. Green tech and carbon are going to be epic money makers.

I also have the option you take often when presented with a good source or sources, ignore them<whistle>

    Nothing can replace oil.

Coal is the resource that gets hit, not oil, we need oil for everything we see around us, EVERYTHING.
You tell me one thing you can see where you sit now that has no oil involved in it's existence

You could have stated that without the conspiracy theory bit, you like to make it personal in lieu of a good argument. Ironically you call me conspiracy theorist and offer a conspiracy theory about Exxon covering their tracks <whistle> #megarony

It's also a fact that all the oil and coal will be gone long before we could create catastrophic warming effect IF AGW is accurate. We've already well past peak oil.

By about 2045 we will be producing about 15% - 20% of total oil we produce today. Maybe even less, or maybe a little more.

So the IPCC blabbing on about Co2 in 100 200 or 300 years is irrelevant because in 100, 200 or 300 years there will no coal or oil left.

The Chinese will go on building coal buring power stations until their need for energy plateaus. That could be to 2040. 2030 is an estimated minimum. There is no enforcement in that agreement. China can do as it pleases.
China alreay produces over 20% of global emissions. The whole of the EU is half that. So all the extra cost we will all pay in taxes and levies on our energy bills, travel, cars and all manner of **** that will cost more, is pointless. China alone makes all of it redundant.

It's akin to baling water out of a boat while someone else continues to punch new holes in it.

Their own leaked email messages detailed their cover up strategy.

Plus the fact they don't deny they did it for 27 years, they just focus on the fact that now they no longer do it so it's all good.

I do put stock in leaked communications.
I have to ask you why you think the emails leaked about East Anglia first saying "it's a real shame we can't explain this pause in warming" (the pause that they now publicly deny ever happened) and discussing using a "nature" trick to hide the cooling trend, are not relevant in my argument the IPCC are frauding the data? I think that's a fair question.

    When jazz collided with physics
9 July 2015 Last updated at 19:44 BST

A unique combination of man and machine - the first concert performance by a pianist and the Large Hadron Collider.

A team of scientists at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland has turned live data from an experiment at the LHC into music, and a jazz pianist has been playing along.

Juliana Cherston from MIT in the US, Ewan Hill from Canada's University of Victoria and Domenico Vicinanza of Anglia Ruskin University in the UK converted the data while American pianist Al Blatter improvised.

The point of research is to investigate and talk about things you can't explain. No one bothers emailing about all the things they can explain.

As a matter of interest, I know you work in IT, but it's not in the Oil industry is it?

IT in the oil industry no.

The oil corps are owned by the banks, I ****ing hate the banks, I think that's no secret :D

JP Morgan Chase bank own a whopping 28% of BP for example. Exxon used to be Standard Oil, J D Rockerfeller, banker. Citigroup are heavily into Oil too. Even Barclays BNP and other banks are heavy into oil.

And you just know I hate the bankers <laugh>

That's not what they were discussing though was it. Because whilst internally saying, there is a pause, publicly they were saying there was no pause.

Having data that shows a cooling trend and using a "nature trick" to hide that cooling trend, is not discussing something they don't know about.

Your answer doesn't explain either of those two things I brought up.

If I could make the call I would stop the buring of oil for fuel tomorrow. We need it for our living standards. Stop using it for fuel it's a ****ing waste.

No oil tomorrow in prodction of plastics and such (not counting fuel use)
No tvs dis pplayers or sound systems
    no internet no phones
    no iphones computers tablets
no plastics and other related products
no cars buses trucks planes ships built
    No bicycles

I could go on with the list but it's almost endless.

There's gotta be a little irony in how much oil it takes to make a Tesla electric car <laugh>
