All mentioned on here, Ince< Sinclair and Eagles are all wide players hardly a replacemen for our main striker.
Do we need an out and out striker? When we have played without one i.e 6 midfielders we have done ok . Trust in ML!!!!!
But surely that would be done with Michu upfront. Didnt he try this as well against Everton and it didnt work, regarding Dyer playing further forward. We need an out and out striker. One who can hold the ball up and bring players in when we are under pressure. What you say may work away from home, but surely we need someone up there for our home games. So in my opionion yes we do.
The idea with Ince wouldn't be a replacement DG- Just a brilliant use of cash and a blindside transfer. If there were obvious replacements they would a) be obvious and we would have named them already and b)the alternatives wouldn't be on the table. I believe HJ and ML have such confidence in the finish to the season they are prepared to take the "loss." Looking back this year and without the four match purple patch Danny hit six weeks ago, his figures and his performances would have looked very, very average.
would love mackie here, always said mackie would be good. hell even dj campbell on loan id prefer over nobody coming in
I don't think we will miss him. I didn't find him a particularly creative player with his feet, couldn't head or even come close to winning a ball in the air and rarely if ever took a shot from distance. We have conceded just 2 goals in our last 6 games against the likes of Chelsea x2, Arsenal, Everton, and all this with a team that changed from game to game. This shows that our defense has figured out - Sousa-style - how to shut shop. We know we have flair, ability and speed going forward. As the fixture congestion eases off we can start to settle into a more of a regular team and our execution will get better. As others have said there is more to this than we know. It makes no sense that a player on the verge of competing to start in a cup final and with a fair probability of European football next season would go to Sunderland - who let's face it were anaemic playing at home. Perhaps he thinks he's too good to compete, perhaps he doesn't like the drop in wages because of our bonus comp scheme from not starting every game, perhaps his agent does like his variable wages. Who knows. Makes no sense. But he clearly doesn't want to be here, so thanks for the memories and bon voyage. Next! Time for Itay and Luke to force ML's hand to play them. Lamah may be the key to a new Plan E (I've lost count). Maybe Lamah will play in pole position with Michu drifting behind him ... who's to say. But, when Danny hasn't been around we haven't exactly missed him - have we really.
I know you are saying it makes no sense, but it makes sense to Danny so perhaps he's gone for exactly that, personal reasons, and it's nothing to do with any of us except him and family?
Well his decision, but judging from some reaction on the Sunderland board , he'll be sorry ! Talking of the Sunderland board and Jager will back me on this , they have a large knuckle dragging neanderthal following, pathetic truly pathetic!
Strangest and most dubious/dodgy rumours so far ....take your pick..... LeFondre/Charlie Austin/Ricky Van Wolfswinckel are joining. Cannot wait for the silly season to finish!
His reasons don't have anything to do with us but it may affect us. Yankee has a point to be honest it's not like we're losing Michu, but I do worry that we're putting too much onto his shoulders. He is a player that flourishes behind a front man, remember. At the moment I'm not convinced we have nearly enough talent in that area. A 15 goal a season man would benefit Michu and the Club. Although we've just lost one Laudrup clearly didn't think DG was the man and told him so, I suspect.
They are ****ing twats mate, I don't say this often but I hope they go down with the **** heads they have for fans.
Their forum is rivalling QPR for their high idiot quota. A real bunch of troglodytes. imho DG needs his head read, but we move on and wish him well. Will be interesting to see if any of his off the field 'activities' now see a bit more light now he's gone.
I've been saying for ages that the Mackems are one of the worse sets of fans on here along with QPR. They really think they are something. Graham needs his ****ing head read.
DG has appeared to be a poor influence behind the scenes for a while so from that point of view I am glad to see him go because I think it would have been detrimental to our younger players. He has been a reasonable player for the Swans, but leaving the Club three weeks prior to a Cup Final, and joining a Club who's fans dislike him, says a lot about his own issues. Good luck Danny boy
please log in to view this image This is on the money guys, and why I said some months back I doubt you'll see much of Danny boy this season!... PS: Now then who have we got to replace him though?? Hmmmmmmm...............Maybe it is time once again for Charlie Morgan!..........
