Norman 'bite yer legs' Hunter was a fantastic player but I stand by my opinion of Collier he was playing well before Norman arrived and I think if he hadn't made the mistake of leaving us for Coventry he would have gone on to bigger and better things if not with us then with one of the bigger teams in the old first division. I firmly believe that it was the loss of Collier that caused all the problems that followed, AD panicked and dished out long term contracts to all and sundry to stop losing anyone else for nothing and that seemed to destroy the desire in some of the players which directly resulted in us crashing down through the leagues and eventualy amost disappearing.
Gary collier was outstanding,a major loss when he left,he was strong in the air and good on the deck and was pretty quick as well.
