Bye the way Hawk......Gary Collier is my cousin & I agree with you, what a fine footballer he was, lets all hope that Danny Wilson can be as good as him.
Let's not all get too carried away eh before we actually see him play......please. When Briggs signed a number came on here and said what a great signing. Then after a few games people started to say maybe he was a bit green. Let's wait until he's played a few games and judge him on performances. I could easily say another Scottish player who's not managed to make it south of the border. But I won't - we need to actually see him in the team for a few games and then make a judgement on the chances of him helping us escape the (increasingly likely) drop to L1.
God I hope he don't get injured.....I don't think I could stand anymore bad luck stories from the Del's faithful. Seriously....could be a good signing....something needs to turn this season around. Fingers crossed.
Onefor, so when a team has a catalogue of injuries like we have, it doen't disrupt the team, now i certainly don't know how much you know about football, but anyone with a little bit of knowledge, would in my opinion know that it does disrupt the team. Now believe it or not, i'm not one of Del's faithfuls, as you put it, but lets get back to some kind of semblance of a full strength side, and lets see what the mans made of, if the team is still struggling after that, a change of management is a certainty.
Good afternoon lads, Liverpool fan here. Think you've got a good player here. Danny hasn't had the best of times at Liverpool with chances being limited and when he does play, it seems to be at left-back when he is actually a centre-back. Was highly-rated when he came down to Liverpool from Rangers and there is a good player in there. Just needs the 90 minutes week-in, week-out to show that quality. Good luck for the rest of the season and I shall pop back to your board throughout the loan spell to see how he's getting on!
Onefor, If Delboy does turn this around we wont see you for dust for months on end just like you never turned up when we had a good start, and I am struggling to understand that? "Dels faithful" Yeah I'm one I hope he gets enough time to turn this around and takes us on to better things. Cos I cant see any Billy Davies or Neil Warnocks rolling up here any time soon.
Cheers chris 2 questions. What does Wilson's future look like at Liverpool? Is he one for the future or this loan is your last chance at this club sort of thing. How much contract does he have left, Think i seen one of your fans say this is his final year of his contract
To be honest, I think this loan is Wilson's last chance to force his way into first-team contention at Liverpool. He's got a lot of competition at centre-back for us (Agger, Skrtel, Coates, Carragher & the likes of Kelly & Wisdom who are centre-backs playing as right-backs at the moment) and as i've already said, he hasn't really been given a decent run in his favoured position. If he impresses in the two months he is at Bristol City, he may get another chance but I can't see that happening. I think he'll leave in January or in the summer and if it is to a Championship club like yourselves, he'll do well. - On the contract situation, he is in his final year of the contract he signed in 2010. Joined in the summer of 2010 on a three-year deal so he'll be out of contract at the end of this season.
Cheers for the info well hopefully he gets us out of the mess we're in and we can pinch him off you on the cheap anyway good luck for the rest of the season, We'll keep you updated on his progress
Like ALL City fans I hope Mcinnes turns this situation around. AD - Of course injuries disrupt the team and I'd swing for that Posh player who 'did' Cunningham. My worry with Mcinnes is basics. Now ' I certainly don't know how much you know about football, but anyone with a little bit of knowledge' would know that making 5 changes every game irrespective of injury beggars belief. That's a basic you DON'T do. As does spending his budget on strikers when a CH or 2 were top priority. He said CHs were hard to find - we now have THREE in 3 weeks. Chs were available last summer, surely Wilson would have jumped at the chance, but McInnes (I presume) thought we'd be ok by scoring more than we conceded. HIS decision alone, he got it wrong through naivety and experience in Scottish football and we have to put up with the consequences. I'll repeat that I hope he turns it around but his decisions and track record at City doesn't give me any hope at all.
Well Banksy you must have missed it mate, as I did praise but I didn't get carried away like some. I also said, I would give him 12 games before saying anything. The fact is, I want any manager to do well at our club, but "more often than not" my gut feelings regarding managers at our club has been pretty accurate. Just for you Banksy mate, when/if we go on a 7 game unbeaten run I will hold my hands up and give the man deserved praise.......somehow though, I don't think I will be getting arm ache!
Wow AD, sometimes, or shall I say most of the time, you really are hard work. We must be the only club that suffers from injuries, because this excuse has been used ever since GJ left. Oh yes and the $hit players that were left. Nothing to do with Del playing any sort of settled team, or players out of position, or not starting an inform Davies, or putting Fontaine 1st on the team sheet, or failing to bring in a decent CH, or failing to bring in a creative midfielder.... Poor Del must be the unluckest managers around....wow my head hurts!

So far, McInnes has screwed up big time with his management of City but is having an easy ride from the majority of fans. I hope like hell they're right and we're not sleepwalking to L 1.
Six months? Thats about your maximum time limit of patience for any of our managers! Like I said there are no big name managers queueing up to come here so maybe you and redprintt should have a go and see how you get on!
He was scared he looked a twat at the beginning of the season though ROD! He's making up for lost time..
Hawky For my money it would be Norman Hunter. Collier did look good alongside Norm, but then so did David Rodgers which is like Boom boom playing in the Prem...
