Agreed, but why did he have to say he expects be on transfer list? I never read the whole thing, but doesn't seem like he needed to say that

I don't know why.

He's only low wages so i don't think he'd be transferred, but with that attitude he's not going to do himself any favours.

He lives in Darras Hall and he talks about needing to drive to the airport, surely it is much cheaper getting a taxi for such a short distance when you take into account parking charges.

call me old fashioned, but he could jolly well WALK from there.

I like some of his crosses, the two that have gone in the net by accident were good. But particularly that beautiful cross he sent in against the Mackems last season from which Carroll hit the bar and Ameobi volleyed in that absolute pearler.

He's too scared to tackle though, and hopefully if we can get LB cover, Santon can take the RB position.

The low wages thing isn't a big surprise in our squad. When Danny Guthrie was in court a year or so ago, it transpired that Coloccini earns about 25x as much a week as Guthrie does.

It was actually 20x

Guthrie was on 4k, Colo on 80k

He can't afford a taxi to the airport, because all his taxi money being spent weekly on a night out in town. He on low wages you know compared to other footballers.

I've got all the sympathy in the world for his situation with his daughter, but I fail to see the link to his contract. Frankly he's not fantastic, and if Danny Simpson of all people thinks the grass is greener on the other side and wants to join Uncle Joey at QPR then I'd let him go. We're a club moving forward and throwing bigger money at the players who filled in during our transitional years is not the way to continue that, as the departure of Kevin Nolan showed.

I honestly think I'm in a weird fantasy world when we're signing the likes of Santon and tying Jonas to a long term deal, while Dannys Simpson and Guthrie are having contract issues. Who's next, Alan Smith?
