Footballers are entitled to go out and have a good time just like anybody else. As long as it doesn't interfere with their career. Obviously, what has happened to Seaborne has affected his career, but think about it; the same thing could have happened to Joe Bloggs and put him out of his job as a builder for a year. Does that mean that Joe Bloggs shouldn't ever go out and have a good time ? Footballers are human aswell, people are quick to forget that.
I live roughly near the pub he was in (baddessly arms) but I visit one thats about a 2 min walk way - The Bedes Lea and I have no idea why he goes there. It's empty, horrible, the outside of it doesnt even look great and the staff are hardly pleasant. If you visit there reguarly theres something wrong with you; theres a perfectly good, and much better pub, down the road. In fact I was half hoping that Lambert would start visiting The Bedes Lea after the incident so I could meet him! My missus knows him well because she works in a nursery and looked after his kids a lot... to say I'm slightly jealous is an understatement - and she knows it! Drive past his house every bluddy day.
Lambert drinks there because it is local. The Bedes Lea is really a bit too far for him. If he has to drive/get taxi he goes to the Clump or into Romsey. He is quite often in Romsey.
You need to read what I said again mate. It's an undeniable fact that for the vast majority of players, most of their learning/development happens before the midway point of their careers. I didn't say it couldn't happen, but it is unusual, that a player improves dramatically after that. I'm surprised anyone thinks he is remotely premier league quality.
Please note: Seaborne is spelt like this <<<< Not Seabourne like so many continue to get wrong. Pedantic I know
Tell Ricky Lambert that mate. I am also sure lots of players and Clubs like Norwich thought the same about their players. Your not a bin man by any chance ?
jos is now almost untouchable, has been a model of consistancy. jose has had some dodgy games, but i think both martin and dan were played on the left and jose on the right- so we have two covering jos but no cover (unless playing someone out of position ) for jose
Don't go underrating Jose, he was basically our most important player last year and conspicuously absent for most of our "blip".
Pointing to one player does nothing to refute my point. Nor does imitating me and speculating on my profession but I'm sure you knew that.
You are talking absolute rubbish mate. You have obviously never played any descent standard of sport if you think that age means so much. And you are obviously not a bin man as you must have run at Cheltenham today with those blinkers on.
I agree with this 100%. In fact, I was going to write almost exactly the same words, including mentioning GKs too.
Gosh, I'm sorry I didn't think anyone would find my opinion, even completely misinterpreted, so offensive.
Spot on mate. Got to agree with you when Seaborne has had a spell of playing in the past he has improved. Think he is a player that has to be playing. Week in week out to continue to improve. No question better than Martin when fully fit. Do you reckon a loan spell will be on the cards for him ? By all accounts he did well yesterday.
He will be desperate to play football and get back involved , so a short loan period is the best way to get the nod from NA.
Yeah think you are right he must be buzzing having played yesterday and must be dying to play regular football again. Problem is it wouldn't do him any good to sit on the bench. Would the medical staff let him out on loan as it is still early days ? Just pleased the lad is back playing must be a great feeling for him after such a bad injury.
Yeah was great to see him back in the red and white, hopefully his recovery continues and we'll get to see more of him soon.
If Exeter stay in League 1, I can see him going back there to be honest. He's got a lot of friends in that part of the world.
