I'd pay double that, there isn't another LB like him anywhere for that kind of money. Last season Man Utd were quoted as offering £20m for Baines (paper talk I know) Rose is a very close second to Baines, get him signed no matter what it costs.
I would pay it too but it just shows that just to even be on a par with this season we will have a lot to do before even adding new faces to the squad. We have to keep Mig at least for another season if not the rest of his career (wishful thinking) and making Rose's loan move permanent, which may not leave us with a massive budget for PDC so we have to look carefully. I have a funny feeling Mig could fund a lot of our business this summer and Westwood promoted to number 1. Also where else would Danny Rose have 45,000 people cheering his name for 90 mins??
Would love to keep hold of Mig, but Westwood has also been excellent for us when he has played so not as scary as it could be (selling Mig).
I cannot think of any English lb who is a better player or fit for us (apart from baines possibly) Break the bank for the lad
Tell you what guys you all got lots of money, I'd pay 6mil, I'd pay 8mil, I'd pay 10 mil, lol Joking aside, he seems reasonable value for Ellis's money
Shaw for Southampton is going to be a top player but agree at the moment hes in the top 3 English left backs (Cole/Baines/Rose).
We paid £8m for Connor and Danny is ready NOW to play. At 22, this would be a snip imo and get him on a mag special 5 year deal too. He will double in price as young English full backs are rarer than rocking horse ****e?
Would love to see Rose sign, but with our current financial situation I think that the money would have to be generated by selling other players..So the question is, who would have to go to generate that kind of money?
Premier league teams get 60m next year throught the new TV deal. That's why it's so crucial to stay up. we canafford him...and a few others
http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...discuss-Sunderland-future-until-club-are-safe Spurs' Danny Rose won't discuss Sunderland future until club are safe : SPURS full back Danny Rose is not thinking about his future at loan club Sunderland until the end of the season. Danny Rose isn't ready to discuss his Sunderland future The Black Cats' Premier League future is far from certain despite recording back-to-back wins under new boss Paolo Di Canio. There has been no conversation about Rose's future at the Stadium of Light, and the England U-21 international is happy with that. "I have thought about my future. When Martin O’Neill was here we did speak briefly," Rose told The Journal. "That has changed and it’s not the time for me to go speaking to the new manager about what he wants for next season. Paolo Di Canio has got off to a good start as Sunderland manager I have thought about my future. When Martin O’Neill was here we did speak briefly Danny Rose “The main priority is to have Premier League status for next year. Once that’s sorted, once we are safe, I’m sure there will be a conversation to be had. “I know what I want to do next year and we will just see what happens."
