Danny Rose openly admits that he can't wait to give up football because he's so incensed about racism. Hero speaking out?

But then again he's not willing to give football up immediately to make a real statement but wait 5-6 years because he's getting paid £3m+ a year. So he's willing to let his morals slide for the short term cashish. Nobhead? At least make out you're not giving up because you love game and giving up would let 'them' think they've won.

But no....He won't give up just yet because how would he fund his standard £50k on an average night out in London?

I can imagine that if you’re black it must get pretty ****ing irritating having brain dead yobs yelling racist insults at you.

I can’t decry him completely though, as if it was me I’d be thinking, ‘why should I let this scum drive me out of the game’

While he’s still in the mainstream of football he has a voice to speak out.

    My thoughts exactly.

If he walked away from football, I reckon Levy would sue him for breaking his contract.

He's using the racism card to defend his mental state. He openly suffers with depression so I'm sure the odd racist chant isn't that high on his problem agenda.

At least be honest Danny boy.

Maybe the racism exacerbates his depression.

Cant be sued for quitting ... he just would not be allowed to play for another club for the remaining term of his contract.

    As for Rose himself..

    1) I think he is right to slate UEFA, FIFA and the FA. Their inaction is a joke tbh.
Racism is a **** stain on football from players, fans, clubs and ruling bodies alike.
Football can not eradicate a society problem but they can seriously punish those involved.

    2) I get what he says and do not think it makes him look a hypocrite as he wants to see out his career which is fair enough.

    3) However, as a footballer he is arrogant as ****...he treated spurs with utter comtempt two summers ago with his public demand for more money two days before the season started and slagged off new signings at the time claiming he shouldn't have to google players we bought.

Spurs fans have been remarkably loyal to him, I never boo a spurs player but never join in the songing of his name at games.

    4) His description of countries and clubs being fined (for racism) less than he spends on a night out in London shows how out of touch most footballers are. That was a crass and classless thing to say when most of those chanting his name do not get paid in a year what he earns in a week...

I ain't on poverty money by any stretch but he gets over three times my annual salary (before stoppages) EVERY WEEK!

On this issue I support him and others such as Stirling.

    I disagree tbh.
I have had racist abuse whilst having mental health issue and while being mentally healthy.

In both states I have been ****ing annoyed at the racist ****s dishing out their filth.

I think that really blatant racism must be a real shock to todays players as monkey chanting etc is now extremely rare compared to the 70s and 80s and 90s.

Clubs have changed so it now seems shocking to hear about the racism that sometimes become public.

Not digging mate...just s different perspective.

I think I read one of his comments stating that teams of whose fans get caught shouting racist abuse get fined less than what he spends on a night out in London. Cocky Twat!

I have sympathy for any player or any person who suffers from racist abuse. But after reading the gist of what Rose has said certainly means he risks losing some sympathy from some people.

    Of course he is.

If you’re not black it’s impossible to understand being abused by brain dead morons for no other reason than the colour of your skin.

If that is the case then the clubs should be doing more.

His analogy about how much he spends was not good, I agree. But he’s right, FIFA/UEFA talk a good anti racism campaign. What they actually do is next to **** all in reality.

On that I agree. Along with the FA and UEFA. Unfortunately I think it's going to take a manager to hook his players from the pitch before something is really done about it.
