Yeah, against us Italy only set a record for the best ever pass completion rate in any World Cup game in the history of, well ever. Pirlo personally completed 103 passes from 108 attempted passes.

    f**ing s**te wasn't he?

Let's not switch this from what I said. I never for one minute said he had a great World Cup or he is always excellent, I said he singlehandedly destroyed us in the last 2 tournaments. This was in response to a comment that players who dont run around like a bull in a China shop arent appreciated in England. I'm not blinded when he has a bad game, he just had an extraordinary one against us which is what i referenced.

Did Italy have two teams in the World Cup or are you going senile?

I know it's you Hat but this comment makes no sense whatsoever. I assume you're trying to be clever and suggest that I support Italy but I have never supported Italy over England. If anything the fact that I support an Italian club side that was set up with the intent of recruiting international players (the name Internazionale is a clue) rather than play purely Italians would mean that if anything I DON'T support Italy.

It's also interesting that on another thread today I was accused of essentially being a Little Englander.

What about asking if I have meat and 2 veg on a Sunday? Considering that's what the rest of the world takes the piss out of us for, then if that wasn't implied what was it trying to imply?

    And how is that pretentious?

You're just a snob. There's nothing wrong with using English colloquialisms or eating traditional English food, but for some reason you take great offence to being associated with these things. Little Englander is a term used to insult working-class people who don't mindlessly worship fat cat Union leaders and vote for anyone wearing a red rosette. Quite ironic considering its original meaning was used to denote anti-imperialist Liberals like William Gladstone.

Eh? where or when did I ever take offence at any of these things I was asked? I just said I dont eat it or say it. I also don't attend shaddow puppet theatre but telling somebody that wouldn't mean I was offended if they asked that I did.

This has gone f**ing weird. I never for one minute said there was anything wrong with saying "our lass" or eating meat and 2 veg. I was asked if I did them and I said no. Done.

No I didn't, I think you're confused. Someone asked you if you used those phrases and ate meat and two veg, you got really defensive and thought he was accusing you of being a "dinosaur-esque Little Englander".

Yes I saw now that it was someone else. I assumed you bringing it up meant it was you that asked. I was wrong.

I wasnt defensive in the slightest. How can you possibly make that leap from a typed message? I was asked a direct question and I answered it directly.

He did, you obviously watched a different game to everyone else. It's also the second time he's done it at a major tournament.

I don't think he's ****e, I said he was ****e at the World Cup and I admit that was an overreaction. His performances were forgettable.
