You can have 50 comments per page on here, that would make a 13.2 day window :)

If they got rid of the window again, do you think clubs would actually make any signings?

Is there anyone on here who can't remember life before the window?

  3. I was gutted when they introduced the the January window for one reason and one reason only; it was back in the days when I played Championship Manager and it gave me less time to get my team in shape!

Clubs made signings but it was never a mad rush or a crazy merry-go-round situation that we often see nowadays. I reckon we'd see movements but not every week.

The window introduction helped clubs move towards a squad game IMO. Unhappy players couldn't just insist on moving, they had to sit it out until the window arrived. Of course, the busy festive period being just before the winter window give those players a confidence boost so a lot end up stupidly staying put.

for me the transfer window artificially inflates prices and creates a bad scenario where ransoms are held.

Where a player is needed and its late its a sleelers market.

before a club could turn up when they needed to and buy and players we still cup tied. If lfc needed a player in april they bought in april. if you had 5 injuried you could go get a player

Why would Burnley even consider selling at this time?

I am a big fan of his, a fully fit Ings and things could have been different for them at the start of the season. However to let him go for a low fee now, when they could gamble on the tribunal price if he leaves at the end of his contract?

i reckon yeah..... as he is 23 and most likely no foreign club will offer him the wages he'd get here on a free... well unless celtic grab him then there will be a tribunal so i see that burnley have nothing to lose holding on.
