21 league goals in 2013 2014 Championship season. He certainly did help them a lot.

I see how that could translate then to champions league.

Like Sinclair, SWP and then Raheem he will be a bit part player and his development will suffer

I think you might have to pay between £7-8 million, this is only going by Football Manager 2015 though have signed some good players under 24 on the game and thought "won't be paying much for them" some of them were over £10 million, bloody hell cancelled the transfer and went and bought some free spanish under 24 youngster instead. :emoticon-0103-cool:

PS. For example, in the UK, players under 24 who are out of contract are only available on a free transfer if released by the club holding the players' licence.

I think that was the figure Burnley asked for, £7.6m I believe.
Liverpool want to pay more around the £4-5m mark.

What are you talking about you mad ****? I mentioned his 21 goals in reference to the tribunal and how much we'll have to pay, the goals helped them get PL so his contribution paid some or all of their investment in him back so it may, may mean we pay less compensation.

Sinclair? Sterling? Champion's League? You smoking some of Wenger's +£1 ****?

Well he will end up on the scrap heap like the others as he is not good enough/moving before he has had chance to develop.

He will have the same fate as that other promising striker....

U21 international, played/on the fringe of the full side and then moves to work with Rodgers and keeps the bench warm

What ever happened to Fabio Borini?

Will the fans love Ings as much as Brendan predicted they would Borini and who will be a Kop favourite first?

He would have the same problem at any top 10 team he moved to. Chelsea, United, City, Arsenal? Think he is gonna displace Costa, Aguero, Rooney etc
    No.
    Spurs? Harry kane? No.
    Ditto at Everton with Lukaku.
    Maybe Pelle at Southampton? possibly.

Ah sure who knows, we won't find out until next autumn, we'll have to wait and see. If he turns in over 13 or 14 goals it's a good start, how dare we be positive yeah <laugh>

Hence the reason he should have spent his 2nd season in the PL with a side where he could realistically be the first choice striker. Swansea? Stoke? West Brom? He's made a career mistake going to Liverpool at this point, as he won't get enough game time to establish himself

All well and good although logic dictates Sturridge is number 1 and Origi is number 2 as hes costing more (provided you aren't buying a new striker). Does the same logic apply be afforded to Sterling moving to a City,Chelsea, Barca, Real or is he just a greedy **** who deserves to rot in hell?

  16. Unless its an investment and he goes out on loan to one of those sides? I don't think that will be the case though

He can't win. It means nothing to the tribunal. He has embarrassed himself and his club.

A verified and accepted bid gives the tribunal something to work with when calculating the fee. If Burnley can get more for Ings they may accept a lower bid (from Spurs) for Trippier.

Unfortunately for Levy and Burnley the obvious collusion and potential shared benefit will be as obvious as a whore at a garden party come the tribunal

That was probably the carrot on the stick that Burnley dangled in front of Levy.
My only doubt is why this bid would affect the compensation Burnley are due.
The compensation is for Ings training and development costs over the years, I fail to see how a pathetic, thinly veiled attempt to add to his market value will have any bearing on what Burnley paid to train the youngster, and therefore, if the tribunal has any sense, they will see this bid for what it is and won't let it affect their ruling.

However....we all know that football governing bodies can be immensely ****ing ******ed at times and as PnP said, Spurs and Burnley have nothing to lose (except some respect from rival fans, which only our manager seems to gives a **** about anyway) and everything to gain. So I can see why the did it.
But, as someone has already mentioned, that might set a dangerous precedent in clubs offering favours to other clubs by doping their young players values as they reach the end of their contracts, in order to get more compo out of the players new club, which I dont see would be a good thing, even if it IS Liverpool getting ripped off by it <whistle> :p
