From a non-bitter Leicester fan, take it from me that he is an absolute asset. Every club has great players that come along every now and then that go under the radar and you hope don't get noticed and that's exactly what's happened here. I've never seen a player control the midfield better than him in a Leicester shirt and his pass completion is ridiculous, keeps everything ticking constantly. Whilst he isn't your Fabregas of passing, he is still creative and got a great range of passing both long and short.

What you are also getting is one of the fittest players I've ever seen. The workrate he puts in is similar to that of Kante, hence why they worked so well. What you've bought is a player whose partnership is so outstanding with Kante. We always said in our title season that it was simple - you play Kante and Drinkwater and you simply win the midfield battle and then it's left to the others to score the goals.

I fully expect him to start and think you'll all be very very pleasantly suprised.
You've seen a lot more of him than I have, so I hope you are right. Personally I would have broken our bank to get Marco Verratti from PSG. Anyway, hope your man Drinkwater really makes his mark and very good luck to him.

his pass completion is ridiculous
His pass completion rate has been around 75% every season for the last 4 seasons.
Thats not impressive at all, thats decidedly average.

Kante's was 88% last season and 82% the season before that.
Cesc's has been 85% last two seasons.
Luiz was 84% last season and 91% the season before that.

Those are impressive pass completion stats

You have to bare in mind that percentage-wise that's more down to how we play - smash it over the top to Vardy. Therefore they don't always make it. We never have the ball and when we get it go gung ho for one attack and then get back. By pass completion I was more on about the sheer number of passes per game.

Well like I said, I hope I am pleasantly proved wrong, and will be the first to admit if thats the case.
This just has shades of Scott Parker that's all.

Every piece is important and should be in their right place.

And in Drinkwaters case the right place was Leicester. :bandit:

I'd like to see him and Kante start for us(curious).....I'm happy to trust our managers judgement,
we owe him after last season.

He is an option, if Baka is out or needs a rest and we want something other than Cesc, who cannot run, then its something different I suppose.
And we know he and Kante can work as a CM pairing I suppose ;)

Still think it is a rather underwhelming signing though.

Underwhelming maybe.....Conte seems to see things in players that other managers miss.
