I know your gaffer has played down reports of a bust up, but just wandered what you guys thought of him as a player?

I was absolutely gutted when he left us, he's a cracking little footballer who was slightly hard done by, by Pardew. He would often be our best player only to be immediately dropped once either of Tiote & Cabaye were fit, this is ultimately his reason for leaving the club.

He's played a handful of games for us without looking outstanding. Problem is, our style is a bit more direct than he's used to. I'd like to see him in the side. Our midfield is solid, but it lacks that creative element. I hope he settles down and earns a starting place. His atttitude is a little questionable.

As Tilehurstsouthbank says, we'd very much like him to settle down, he has looked like a good 'motor' man in the middle - we've got doubts over his attitude though, and whether he'll knuckle down and graft like they all do at Reading - teamwork, no stars.
