I'm not saying that, I'm just saying some people should back him and see him as a good SQUAD player who can comfortably fill in for Cabaye/Tiote. Definitely worthy of being our 3rd choice CM right now based on his performance against Stoke.

And Warm Pouch I know you've never been a Guthrie fan(since the days of the old 606).. I remember our old debates on Nolan/Guthrie haha, but yeah I don't think he should start over Tiote or Cabaye but I think we should give him a new contract. <ok>

Thats fine, we're on the same wavelength then. Thoroughly worthy of the third choice spot. This isn't an argument between Guthrie lovers/haters, because frankly I never hate anyone who puts on a Toon shirt (also saves me from embarassing climbdowns when I say Sholas good backup, 30 people say he's dogshit, then he equalises against Spurs...), its just a case of not getting ahead of ourselves based on the Stoke game. I'll be delighted if he can do the same against sterner competition, but I'm not going to start jizzing over him after one top performance. Or at all in fairness, I'm not Tash...

I thought against Blackburn from half time he controlled the game. He was one of our better player and was better than Cabaye then as well...but still ge should be on the bench when both Cabaye and Tiote are fit, and coming on for either of them if they are either on a yellow or absolutely knackered; like Cabaye was the other day.
