But will they though now ? I expect Gus Poyet to want to offload Dany Graham so that he can generate some cash to bring in his own players. The way Graham is scoring at the moment i would say £500,000 should be more than enough.
Sunderland will be in dire straights by January time. They cannot fluke games like Newcastle and Manchester City all the time. Fluke as in Newcastle and Man City failed to turn up for the games.
I'd like them to have to play Fletcher and Altidore every game as it increases the strain they're under and makes an injury more likely. If they have the option of playing Graham at Old Trafford when the others are needing a rest then they will.
Yes but I don't want him at my club, he is **** and Sunderland are welcome to him. Go get Defoe on loan with a possible permanent if we stay up in the Summer. After all he isn't getting much in the way of football at Spurs and he is desperatly wanting to go to Brazil with England
Conundrum for you. No option to send Graham back to Sunderland in January, or to sign Livermore as he decides he doesn't want to commit until we're definitely safe. Do you sign Graham for £500k to open up the loan spot to bring in Defoe? (Bearing in mind Sunderland are likely to be after Defoe for themselves if he's available so they're not likely to take Graham off us unless they have to, as him staying makes it difficult for Defoe to join us)
I see him doing a loan deal to a PL side that don't threaten Tottenham's position so he can get in the WC squad, then him buggering off to America or somewhere to end his career. At the moment Sunderland could prevent us being that side by not recalling/allowing us to return Graham in January. If we don't have a return clause, and we can't do a permanent for Livermore then we'd only be able to sign Defoe on a permanent.
