The likes of Saha and McFadden are NOT the future, so we need a few like some of the above in. That said, I like Wickham and he should be coming into games ALL the time if you ask me, how else is he going to develop?

You most certainly were mate and he hasn't disappointed either of us. Both lads are natural goal scorers and will be assets to any EPL club. After all Ian Rush, one of the best strikers I've ever seen, came from lowly Chester City; Aldridge came from Oxford Utd; Chris Waddle from Tow Law and Andy Cole from Bristol City and I think rather than look for expensive foreigners, we should go back to this way of looking for players.

I agree 100% about playing those 2 as main strikers not in a midfield 5.

IF is the appropriate word - no-one knows for certain - all we hear are rumours - I'm not a big believer in "No smoke without fire" where these transfers are concerned. I'll wait until the club show who we have signed on the website before I react

Graham is of the same mould as Fletcher, doubt you'll be after him. He's a decent striker but imagine the chaos when they're both chasing the knock-downs and nobody is actually knocking them down, or both getting in each other's way inside the 6 yard box. Fletcher is the better of the two, money would definitely be better spent elsewhere but forget about Austin, you've got to be looking at £15m for that kid, he's only 23 and Burnley are in with a shout at the play offs when next season is the Billion Pound season in the EPL, you just don't sell your big guns if you've got a chance of making it into the stupid money league.

I like Graham, looks a good striker. But you know what if we got him he would get 2/3 goals per season. We have a habit of turning decnt players look ****e. We have played (just about) the same style of play under the last dozen or so managers that I have seen at the club. It's not that good of a style by the way.
Got a feeling that Campbell (like Meyler) will be sold off for little money and go on to better things.
As said many many times, we do have good players, we do have a canny squad. However the style of play (tactics if you like) is as it was some 34 years ago for me is STILL ****e.
