This sort of explains the situation: 15:30 Sunderland striker Danny Graham may be on a season-long loan deal at Hull City but reports are suggesting that the Tigers are keen to move him on. For that to happen, they must find another club willing to take him, and then seek the agreement of Sunderland. Black Cats boss Gus Poyet has no plans to exercise his recall option and is staying calm about the situation. It is a three-way thing, between Hull, whichever other club, and then we have to give our permission. [Skysports transfer blog]
It was Poyet who said he has to give permission. Or rather Sunderland have to, once we've arranged the loan with another club.
Sunderland won't give a ****, it's better that he's playing and they don't want him, so it's really just up to us to find a club that will cough for a decent slice of the wages we've lumbered ourselves with until the end of the season.
Apologies, thought you just misinterpreted the quote. However they may feel it's to our advantage to get rid of him and use the free loan spot more wisely. So they could under those circumstances veto it.
I dont see Hull allowing Graham to go anywhere unless that club takes his wages. Am getting fed up of Nottingham Forest being tight wads. If they want him then pay his wages. As for Bolton where will they get the money to pay him from ?
Ian Abrahams ‏@BroadcastMoose 5m Danny Graham looks set to join Nottingham Forest on loan for the rest of the season.
If this happens, I have to say we've had a bloody brilliant transfer window. I slate the Allams where they deserve it - which is a lot of ways - so I have to praise too.
I agree, its not worked out for Graham a drop down could do him the world of good. Excellent effort in getting the move done, if it comes off. Wonder if we'll fill the loan spot??
But sunderland might say NO to loaning him out to tie up cities finances a little bit to make it harder for us to strengthen our squad, so it makes it harder for us to draw away from the bottom half of the table
They've spent £5m on a player they want rid of, they need him playing somewhere, or they'll screw their own finances more than ours.
I'm getting fed up of Daniel Graham now. He's barely looked bothered for us this season, his miss on Saturday was typically lazy ****, and now he can't even be bothered to **** off for less than £37k a week. It hasn't worked out Dan, please just go.
you have the wrong end of the stick-Sunderland pay his 37k a week and we pay 37k per week to Sunderland. Forest are offering us 17k a week towards his wages. Nothing to do with Danny Graham
